[Video]Quick Artiste Close to My Heart Birthday Card

I always need birthday cards - don't you? I've also been itching to try out our new Thistle (purple) and Canary (yellow) inks.

This seemed like the perfect project to accomplish both of those goals!
I got out my trusty Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge that coordinates with the fun, circus-y stamp set Big Top.

Here are the cuts I used:

  10. Fun card!! My husband would say in to the purple, but I think anyone would feel honored to receive something so happy!

  11. Great card! I think it could work for a boy, but would probably be better for a masculine card if the purple was red. Especially if it were given to a 11+ year-old-boy. They sometimes get a little more concerned about "girly" stuff.

  12. Of course! I think it is a non-gender card, and I love it.

  13. The blue color for the sentiment gives it a more "manly" feel than the purple.

  14. I think card could definitely be used for a boy. While I love the Thistle, I think maybe the Pacifica for a boy would be more masculine.

  15. Love today's card and yes, I think it would work for a boy.

  16. Your card is really fun but I kinda think it isn't for a boy.

  17. It would definitely work for a boy. Maybe change the purple to red but other
than that - any boy would love it.

  20. Yes, I think it could be used for a boy. I like the Thistle sentiment.

  21. Really cute card, and I like the purple better than the black! BethAnn M.
