UPDATE: Cricut Explore Print then Cut Feature News!

This letter appeared on the Cricut Blog yesterday (WHOOP!):

The Cricut Team has been hard at work developing our Print then Cut feature for Cricut Design Space.  This feature will let you easily print then cut the 50,000+ images in the Cricut library in just a few clicks using your Cricut Explore. The new feature will also work with images you import for free such as jpeg’s and svg’s.  Our latest plan is to release this feature in late September, consistent with our back half of 2014 target communicated previously.
We have had several dozen Product Experts from the Cricut Community including Beth Kingston, one of our HSN on-air hosts and design bloggers, trying out the Print then Cut feature as well as a couple of widely requested (by you!) design tools that are included in our next release.
We are extremely passionate about doing extensive testing on any new product or release.  This commitment is part of what we call the New Cricut.
Best,

Ashish Arora and the New Cricut Team

Please understand that the Explore will not print itself -you will be doing that with your home printer. The Explore will be able to then cut out what you print on your home printer.  FYI!

Burlap Noel Close to My Heart Artiste Christmas Iron On Sign

Before we get started, if you could say a prayer for my sister-in-law Jolene Tracey, I would appreciate it. She is having surgery today and they are worried it could be cancerous.  Thanks so much!

It's Christmas in July!

Actually, I saw these burlap 4" x 8" covered frames at Michaels and had to try out some iron-on vinyl with them.

The Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut Cartridge was used for the "Noel" and it was cut at 3-1/2".

Now, I cut this out of Cricut Iron-On Vinyl and then applied it directly to the burlap frame.

It proved to be a bit challenging as the burlap didn't want to let the iron-on vinyl stick properly. But I persevered and got it done.

I dressed up one side with a Christmasy ribbon and then I was done!  Quick and Easy!

Click HERE to see how to apply Cricut Iron-on Vinyl (scroll down to see "related videos").

Here is the product I used:
Actually, the irony is that today is my birthday (not Christmas in July) and I couldn't find the birthday cake project I meant to show. Look for that next week...LOL!
