You Da Man Cricut Phrases Father's Day Gift Bag

Photobucket
This gift bag for Father's Day uses the "You da Man" word art from the Phrases Cricut cartridge.  I thought it was funny and definitely unusual!

This bag also includes all kinds of stars cut out from this cartridge as there is a whole feature key with layered shapes and cards to go with the phrases.

The flourishes coming off the large star are from the Cricut Essentials cartridge because I thought the corner looked funny unadorned.

Bag is from Michaels and measures approximately 8" x 10".
"You Da Man" was cut at 2-3/4".

Then, I added the stars around it and the big one behind it.  The large star is cut at  6"(red) and 5-3/4"(blue) and the smaller stars are cut at 3"(blue), 2-3/4" (red) and 2" (white).

I cut the two swirls at 2" (forgot to write down this measurement but eyeballing it tells me it's close to 2").  The top 3 stars attached to the handle are cut at 3".

Here is the new Stamp of the Month for June - it coordinates with the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and is so cute for the upcoming Fourth of July!

It's just $5 when you spend $50+ at my Close to My Heart shopping page.

  1. Like the altered gift bag with the wonderful sentiment. I have the Phrases cartridge but have not ever used it. I'm going to give it a try. Blogging questions would be why did Linky change this week? I noticed that when I go to enter a challenge this week there is more info on the screen & I have to scroll further than a screen worth to click on enter.

  10. Great bag. I think a guy would sit up and take notice of this one! My blog question is, "At what size do you post your photos?" I always post mine at X-Large, but maybe that's overdoing it a bit! Thanks so much for answering these blog questions. I know I can always use a little help!

    1. I post them at large typically although I was posting the handbook photos at extra large. My new email server likes large but not extra large so it's large from now on...
