[Video]How to decorate Rosette Christmas trees - Close to My Heart Holiday gift guide

Yesterday, we made the tree below (click HERE to see how to make the undecorated tree on a video) and today, we are decorating the tree (see above)!

This tree was on the cover of the new Close to My Heart Holiday catalog (thus not my design) and I had requests to show how to make the tree.  While Close to My Heart did provide a "recipe" of items used and sizing, my final product did deviate slightly from that based on what I thought looked good on this tree.
Here is a close up of the tree topper - check out the video below to see how I made this.
Here's a close up of one of the glittery snowflakes:
Here are the cuts I made to decorate the tree:

Here are the Close to My Heart products I used - click on title or photo to purchase.

  5. The tree on the cover of the catalog really caught my eye and the first thing I went looking for inside was the instructions. As always, you are three steps ahead of us and made two easy to understand instructional videos - thank you!!!!! I'm toying with the idea of making up kits for this tree for teaching a craft at an upcoming crafting Church event. It's always fun to see how a group of women with the same basic kit can create such different looking items! Thanks again for all you do. I really appreciate it and you've taught me lots!

  9. Your tree is decorated wonderfully. Catslog looks great. Thought I'd let you know that if a person is not logged into their blog and they click on select profile and then log in the comment does not go thru. I know that the select profile works on other sites but thought I'd let you know it's not working on yours.

  10. I am so in love with the rosette tree! Going through my paper stash today to make my prototype...will see how easy it will be to instruct elderly residents at a senior care center in my town. I think they would look so cute on their tables in their rooms. I can't thank you enough for your how-to videos and easy instructions...makes my life so much easier!
