This tree was on the cover of the new Close to My Heart Holiday catalog (thus not my design) and I had requests to show how to make the tree. While Close to My Heart did provide a "recipe" of items used and sizing, my final product did deviate slightly from that based on what I thought looked good on this tree.
Here is a close up of the tree topper - check out the video below to see how I made this.
Here's a close up of one of the glittery snowflakes:
Here are the cuts I made to decorate the tree:

Gorogeous tree! Everytime I come on here or see one of your vidoes...I'm out buying a new cartridge!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...now off to see if I have something similar to make one :)
The tree on the cover of the catalog really caught my eye and the first thing I went looking for inside was the instructions. As always, you are three steps ahead of us and made two easy to understand instructional videos - thank you!!!!! I'm toying with the idea of making up kits for this tree for teaching a craft at an upcoming crafting Church event. It's always fun to see how a group of women with the same basic kit can create such different looking items! Thanks again for all you do. I really appreciate it and you've taught me lots!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing how to decorate. I like the new catalog.
ReplyDeleteYour tree turned out so cute. It was fun to see how it was all put together. Great catalog!
ReplyDeletewow, lovin' your video! The tree is absolutely gorgeous and can't wait to make one! LOVE!!!

Your tree is decorated wonderfully. Catslog looks great. Thought I'd let you know that if a person is not logged into their blog and they click on select profile and then log in the comment does not go thru. I know that the select profile works on other sites but thought I'd let you know it's not working on yours.

I am so in love with the rosette tree! Going through my paper stash today to make my prototype...will see how easy it will be to instruct elderly residents at a senior care center in my town. I think they would look so cute on their tables in their rooms. I can't thank you enough for your how-to videos and easy instructions...makes my life so much easier!
