Do you like easy and quick cards?
Well, this Halloween one is very speedy to make!
First I cut the card base at 5" using the Cricut Art Philosophy Bundle. There are scalloped circle cards on other Cricut cartridges, FYI.
Next, I used the Close to My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge to make the cuts shown on the two images above. I cut the plain circle twice - once in black and once in white.
I used glitter paper for the web, the spider and the "Boo". I also used the Cricut Craft Room to fill in the "Boo" and create a background. You can see how to do that by watching THIS VIDEO.
I love this new CTMH Eek and Shriek stamp set (B1429) (which you can get HERE) that coordinates with the Close to My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge. I stamped the inside of the card with two stamps from this set using Gypsy and Black CTMH inks.
I used the Cricut Art Philosophy Bundle for the card base, which you can get HERE.

I have never used a scrapbooking kit. But I bet it would make it easy and fast. I might try it. Thanks for the opportunity to win. I would love this cartridge!
ReplyDeleteI haven't try the kits but I bet it makes it easier to do because you have everything you need right whe you needed.
ReplyDeleteI guess I answered this yesterday - lol! I don't really purchase or use kits - I prefer to do my own thing.
ReplyDeleteJust like the scrapbooking kits I do like the card kits sometimes but most of the time I have my own ideas or something from a blog. I love the spider and web so cute.

I haven't tried the kits, but I've seen my friends work with them and they seem great. I love your scary projects, cute!
ReplyDeletei had a couple of cardmaking scrapbooking kits but found I would rather do it my way. It might be faster and easier but just isn't me.
ReplyDeleteCardmaking kits are the only kind of kits I don't like to use. Not sure why but that's the way I am. Love the scary, cute card!
ReplyDeleteI never tried the Card making kits. I enjoy creating on my own, although I love to get inspired by seeing others' projects.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors on your card. I have used a few card making kits but usually like to make my own.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute, cute card! Love the stamp set, too! I really enjoy cardmaking kits because they save the time and trouble of shopping for paper, elements, etc. They give me ideas and I try to add something or change something so that it can be just a little bit different from the kit instructions but the instructions are important to give me the basic plan for the card.
ReplyDeleteI am a die-hard Design Studio user. Now that the content is no longer updated with new cartridges, I am having to learn CCR and I appreciate your instructional videos on how to use it. I have so enjoyed DS for all these years and your video instructions is helping me use a new system without making me pull out my hair.
I do like cardmaking kits I belong o an every other month club and have learned some techniques that way some that I love and some I won't ever do again. I usually make the cards shown and then use the scraps (always plenty) to design my own. love the shaped cards.
ReplyDeleteI love using Card Kits with instructions! It makes life so much easier!!
ReplyDeleteI have never used a card making kit. I'm sure it would be much quicker but I love to choose my own papers and embellishments, it makes it my own and more personal and to me that's what card making is all about.

ReplyDeleteHI Joy,
ReplyDeleteYes card kits are wonderful and such a time saver but reading your blogs makes card making a snap!! Love the Cricut Card cart as well as it is so versatile. I could make tons of cards in minutes!
Unlike some husbands, I read the instructions. Lol!
ReplyDeleteSo yes please, instructions for me!
Once in awhile! Takes the thinking out of the work!
ReplyDeleteI subscribe to a monthly card making lkit program and I just love using the instructions for my kit - saves me from wasting supplies if I'm stumped on what to create.
ReplyDeleteI did the CTMH Pear and Partridge card workshop kit. That is the only one I have done and I did enjoy that it gave me the cutting templates and such. It was easy enough to do. I like to go out on the web and find designs that speak to me and then I usually modify them a little, but not always. I would do another kit if the paper was pretty and the price was right.
ReplyDeleteYes, Joy, i do like card kits.
ReplyDeletei like to make quick cards with minimal thinking
and i like to change things around using their supplies.
I've never used a kit. Not sure if I'd like them since I kind of like playing around with all my different papers and embellishments.
ReplyDeleteI love any kit with instructions...not that I always read them first, but they really do save time and brain power. Thanks for another good video.
ReplyDeleteI like easy cards. It has been awhile since I have made any.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm new to cards, instructions and kits are a life-saver and great teacher for me.
ReplyDeleteI have to have instructions or will spend too much time figuring out what to do.
ReplyDeleteFlorence from Louisiana

ReplyDeleteI love all the projects, but saved the faux gate-fold card directions so i'm going with that as my favorite. Thanks for sharing so many fantastic projects!
ReplyDeleteI love card making kits because, in addition to the materials provided to make cards, it also is a stepping stone for my own ideas for cards.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your projects so much! I love the card kits but find them more expensive than just buying the paper and embellishments.
ReplyDeleteCard kits are Ok but I like to come up with my own designs.
