Another card for my Close to My Heart Artiste swing card series! This time with a square shape.
I cut the card from the Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge above at 5-1/2". The matching square size, that matches the card perfectly is 2-1/2". I ended up using a 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" square and I just cut that using my paper trimmer. I did that because the blue made a nice layering effect.
Here's a quick video on how to make this card (click HERE if you can't see the video):

love tutorials for cards with movement. hey, just told bunch more people about your blog! at scrapbook class
ReplyDeletelove the swing card. Just wish I could afford the cartridge.
ReplyDeleteLoving these cards!
ReplyDeleteThe video tutorials you do are great. Not having a lot of experience with the cartridges I have, it would be helpful to see how to get a card or die cut from those itty bitty illustrations in the book. I don't know if that is helpful for a specific topic, but I am looking for more ways to incorporate cuts on my scrapbook pages.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is still the Art Philosophy cartridge, and definitely have the Artiste on my wish list!
Besides the envelope and envelope liner video. I am always interested in favors (for seniors). Thanks so much. Love the paper for the swing card today. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove the swing card and demos. I haven't really taken on watching many videos but I always love tips on short cuts and anything to do with layouts! TFS and the chance to win a great cart!!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful swing card. Girl you are on a roll. Thanks for sharing.

You are inspiring me try to try these swing, cards and it may be working. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnother great swing card. I would like to see more fancy fold cards.
ReplyDeleteI am totally loving this series of swing cards from the Artiste cartridge!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy videos showing cards or layouts from Cricut cuts, detailing sizes and showing elements, techniques used, etc. I can read and read and read and sometimes not understand how something is done but if I'm shown how to do it, I can do it a lot easier.
Love your videos using close to my heart cartridges. You make it so easy to make them on my own.
ReplyDeleteI like watching organizational videos!
ReplyDeletelove your video-and you have a great way of teaching! Can you do a video showing a swing card where you put something on the back side of the swing area? (so when you open the card there is a 'surprise' message on the left side?) I have made a few and need some inspiration! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove both organizational videos and scrap booking videos as well. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat tutorial, lovely card, I love the cards that you make. I need to try to make a swing card next.

I prefer the Tropical Colors. Really cute pages
ReplyDeleteSince my pics would work the best with the tropical theme I will choose that one. Really like the colors for both though.
ReplyDeleteRlyme
I love the Tropical Colors myself. These pages are really cute. I don't have that cartridge I think I must get that one :-) Thank you for the video's ... I like the video's I can follow them better than just reading the how to. :-)
ReplyDeleteRamona
I would like to see videos on how to use copic markers. I have 2 sets and have hardly used them. Would love ideas to use with them. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteScrappy Vicky
Lovin the lo's thanks for the inspiration. I still have a ton of pics to scrap from my cruise
ReplyDeleteNormally I would prefer the traditional layout with the red, white & blues, but in this case I like the tropical better. I think it is because of the contract of the color with the white photo mat.
ReplyDeleteK&JCreations
beautiful - love the swing cards - have to save my money for the cartridge.
ReplyDeleteYou spoke a little too fast for my old ears, it sounded as if you said stamping on "the edge of the arm" is a great way to season new stamps, but I know that is not what you said. Can you explain a little slower. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all these examples! They are so cute! I really appreciate you posting all the info needed to make these cards and layouts. I am a newbie and really appreciate this. The "When I was A Kid" would be a great addition to my stash as I am making albums for my children. Thanks for all you do. You are a blessing to many. Bev
ReplyDeleteI would love to see other fancy fold cards...or some that show how to make layouts with the cartridge you are giving away! :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the swing cards. Will definitely look into finding this cartridge in my area. I am relatively new to the Cricut and enjoy using it but I know I don't use it to it's fullest potential. Would love to see more videos on some of the special effects that you might have up your sleeve that might not necessarily be shown in the instruction booklets.

ReplyDeleteIt's still July 20 here on the west coast :) I like the tropical colors best, they seem more summery.
