Using the Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge, I cut today's card at 5-1/2" which makes into a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card (see above, page 52).
The corresponding circle can be found also on the same cartridge on page 48 and the cream circle was cut at 2-1/2" and the brown circle was cut at 2-3/4".
Both the scalloped circle (cut at 3") and the "78" (cut at 1-1/2", welded) came from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge but both a similar font and scalloped circle can be substituted out using the free Cricut Craft Room Basics set of images found in the Cricut Craft Room online program.
I was asked in the comments how I figured out which shapes went with these different swing cards. Basically, it's a bit of trial and error made much easier by using the Cricut Craft Room online program to easily size the layers and see how they fit. For more information about sizing layers in the Cricut Craft Room, including a video, click HERE.
Another way this could be done is by looking through the handbooks, knowing that Art Philosophy has a very wide variety of shapes, using a ruler and measuring the height of the corresponding shape on the cut out card, and then dialing that into the Cricut and testing it out.
Please email me at joyster110@gmail.com if you have more questions or anytime you have a question. Sometimes I forget to answer questions found in the comments in my next post - I will try and do better!

ReplyDeleteIt is the 80's where I live in South Carolina. However, we have had lots of rain and the humidity is high. I love summertime and the daily blessings it brings to my life, such as...the smell of fresh clothes off the clothesline, fresh vegetables from the garden, Summer weekend suppers with family on the deck and in the pool and even the rain because God sends Rainbows!! Thanks for offering this giveaway. Blessings to you!

I live in Minnesota, and while we've had some warm (90s)and humid weather, it is GORGEOUS this week - mid-80s, low humidity and sunny! Perfect for getting out to one of our 15,000 lakes. Love your new swing card. I definitely need to try one making one of these.

ReplyDeleteI live in Missouri where we sometimes call it 'Misery.' Yesterday was a good day because it rained in the morning. It just cooled down last Tuesday's heat when heat index was at 110.
ReplyDeleteI live in the Southern tip of Ohio. It hasn't been that hot yet, like last year, around 80-85 or so. The rain never stops, though. It has rained every day for over a month. Very unusual for us. I love your videos, but also like the instructions where I can print them off. Thank you for sharing you ideas, and I especially want to make this latest card for a friend, whose birthday is next week. Guess that tells you I have this cartridge, well both of them!
ReplyDeleteWow, another great swing card.
ReplyDeleteYou are on a roll with these swing cards. another terrific one. TFS.

Hi, Joy I have been on bed rest for about 3 or 4 week now. So I haven't been outside but my son say it has been hot but not really hot to want to go and jump in the river after work to get cool off before coming home. But it is nice to hear how the rest of the world is handling the summer weather
ReplyDeleteHave a great day :-)
Delama
Wow, that is a great card! It is in the 80s and humid here this week.

Love your swing cards...I even had to make a couple of birthday ones. They are so fun. It's been in the 90's here in Utah, but the next couple of days will be in the 80s...great weather for my granddaughter's softball tournament!
ReplyDeleteVery cool man card! They are so hard to make for me. Not so much hot here as all the rain is making it very humid.

ReplyDeleteLove this cartridge! I have just really begun making cards after scrapping for several years. I love how it is a short project that i can fit in between all the other projects, jobs and errands that i have to do! Plus my "real" job--the one that has a paycheck attached. LOL I have a group of 4 friends and we all scrap together. we share our cricut cartridges around all the time and that way I have a better excuse to purchase--you KNOW that I will share it, therefore it actually costs LEss in the long run. LOL
ReplyDeleteI think I like videos better, so you can actually see how it is put together and cut, directions sometimes can be confusing. Thanks for the chance to win:)
ReplyDeletealso a texan...hot, hot, hot!
ReplyDeleteWe've had ALOT of rain, so it has caused the temperature to be in the 80's, opposed to 90 and up here in Georgia. Thanks for the chance to win the cartridge.

It's been 100 or close to it here south of Houston for several weeks - then we get a day of rain in the middle to make everything steam... fun! but it sure beats snow.
ReplyDeleteMore good stuff!
ReplyDeleteI'm also in Texas and the heat went into the 100's.It was not the heat that bothered me but the humidity. The air was so thick. Yuck! This is a good time to spend time inside and work on some cards.
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo cute! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jo
It's hot today but the humidity is low so it feels wonderful after the last couple of days and the bonus?! It's NOT Raining!!! We got a months worth of rain last week.

ReplyDeleteI really like the new cartridge coming out, it will be added to my wish list. I'm in Wisconsin and it is 80 degree today, humidity is down today but will be back up for the next week and in the high 80's to 90's - I can stand the hot but hate when the humidity is high.
ReplyDeleteLike the card and I'm sure your Dad will as well. Yes, the over 100's here in Texas. I prefer winter time myself. Don't care much for the heat!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Another nice card! It was hard pressed to get to 80 today in the east. Grey and rainy all day.
ReplyDeleteGreat card, I love the number paper you used as the base - I'm always at a loss of how to use that type of paper but yours looks awesome! Its been in the low 90s the last couple of days, its been a nice break from the 100s we had last week, so I hope it continues!
ReplyDeleteIt reached 102 last week, and that's super-hot. I normally can brag to my friends that my summers never average over 95 degrees...not this year.
ReplyDeleteIt's downright cold here this week. Only about 40. Brr...just right for crafting, though, and I'm so excited about your tutorial. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteYou just read my mind. I needed a card for an Aunt's 70th birthday party. Thanks,rosebud114
ReplyDeleteI have had both of these CTMH Cricut Bundles since they came out and never realized you could make Swing Cards!!
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't for you I still wouldn't have known. I asked some of my Cricut friends and they also didn't realize it.
So I would like to thank you for all your hard work, videos.
Also here in Long island NY it has been cloudy, humid and raining for the past several weeks.
Last Sat. was our only day of sunshine.

ReplyDeleteOur temps in W. Penna have been in the 80s the last couple days for a much needed break. Hope you have lots of cool treats and beverages to get you through :)
That is a great card for your dad and I do believe he had you "late" in life. You are just a "young in" from your pics. It is 95 in California today which is much better than 112 which was the temperature about a week ago!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing ideas and videos...great way to learn.
ReplyDeleteAnnemarie J
