    I have come form the e-mail you sent out. Yes, I do use sketches sometimes for my layouts and cards too. Sometimes you can just sit there and look at the paper and picures and nothing comes to you. I made a book of sketches from old magazines and use them for inspiration when I need it.

    I have lots of them from Pagemaps. But I rarely use them. I use the sketches only when I have an extreme scapbook block. but that is rare. So guess I would say maybe once a year.

    I will use a sketch but it is just a starting off point cause by the time I'm finished it looks nothing like the sketch once I start putting my own touch to it.

    I do not use sketches but I do lay out the items I would like to use and see how it looks like. It looks more like a movable puzzle. My problem is more on figuring out what colors I would like to use and what goes together.

    I use idea books like Make It From Your Heart and Becky Higgins sketch books. I don't always adhere to them but it gives me the groundwork to begin a layout.

    I don't use scrapbook sketches a lot. I usually just go with what looks pleasing to the eye(s).

    I collect sketches, both cardmaking and scrapbooking...I always start out trying to follow the sketch, but never end up with a project that looks like the sketch...thanks for always posting the coupons...I do appreciate that!

    I try to sketch out the layout, but I rarely end up with what I set out to do. The papers or images give me a different idea and I just go with it :) The Artbooking Cartridge looks awesome and inspiring. I can't wait to get it! I also want to try the chalkboard fonts with my cricut markers!

    I use both scrapbook and card sketches. You can really flip them around for a unique layout for your pages and cards. Sometimes I combine them and end up with a wonderful surprise when I'm done. I have fingers crossed for this drawing. Oh please, please, please pick me.

    I have never used scrapbook sketches.I like to come up with my own designs. Though with the new Scrapbooking cartridges came out from Cricut I now want try them. I do have a lot of catch up to do and sketches could help. The trick is making the sketch work for the pictures you have in mind to use. (size/shape) Thanks for the chance to win.     I definitely use sketches. My scrapbook pages turn out lots better, because then I can concentrate on putting together colors and patterns--paper, embellishments, bling--and not have to worry about the design. I'd love to win the Chalkboard Cartridge...all my favorite Cricut cartridges are fonts!

    I love sketches! I have the two PageMaps books, Becky Higgins magazines, Northridge Publishing Sketches issue, etc. Now I just have to remember to USE those sketches. I have a one year old - so I'm just getting back into scrapbooking this summer.

    I watch YouTube videos and wonder how people just go with the flow. I think I'm too much of a control freak. So I take their finished product and get out my pad of graph paper and make a sketch. I guess I like to know exactly how it's going to look before I even start.

    I haven't scrapbooked in years. I just do not have room to do it right now. Card making takes a smaller work space (or lap). lol When I did scrapbook I usually did my own but that was before blogs (see told you it was a long time) I would use them now if needed to jump start my mojo.

    I definitely use sketches! I'm a huge Becky Higgins fan and have all of her books, plus, after taking her class at CKU, I started a sketch book of my own, then ended up with another sketch book just for cards, though a lot of sketches can be used for either sb's or cards. Sketches have saved me so much time! I feel like I don't have to reinvent the wheel every time I go to make a page!

    Would love to win the Cricut Chalkboard font! I saw that it was coming out and it's the first font that I've been excited about in a while! I think I only have one other font in my small arsenal of Cricut cartridges.     I do not use sketches to create. My process is based on feelings and inspiration I get when I look at my pictures. I start with the base sheet of paper. It goes from there.

    I have a ton of sketches, but have not used any as yet. Have acquired a lot of stuff and an Expression, but used nothing yet. Hopefully the Chalkboard fonts cart will be my inspiration. Want to catalog some memories for my Son, who is active duty, before I go.

    Yes, I finds sketches to be very helpful when scrapbooking :) they help me put "order" to my ideas , thanks for sharing the cupons!

    Thank you for keeping us informed Joy! I had planned to place a CTMH order so that I could get the June SOTM (my favorite one so far!), but this morning, I got a call from my bank saying that somebody tried to place a fraudulent charge on my credit card, so they canceled my account and I won't have a replacement card until the middle of next week! Can you believe that awful timing? I'm so bummed. Maybe I'll find that stamp set on Ebay some day. Boo hoo! -- Susan

    I really enjoy your site. The giveaways are awesome!! The coupons are great! I love Close to my Heart paper...love how the sets coordinate. I sometimes use sketches but usually just come up with my own ideas.

    I sure do use sketches! Not for every layout but I have Page maps, a couple of SG books, and one CTMH books that I love to help me get some ideas. Sometimes what I end up with looks nothing like the sketch at all but it did inspire my! I follow & subscribe and love your blog. Thanks for the chance to win Chalkboard Fonts.     I do like to use sketches, but usually when I have hit a creative block. Most of the time I will start a page using a sketch but then end up taking off in another direction - they definitely help though! Thanks for the opportunity to win and thanks for posting the coupons each week!!!!!

    Hi, I just love to create different kind of cards and scrapbooking and I love the work that you do, too. I do like the new cartridge that Cricut came out with it looking like chalk and it is a new look for fonts

    I don't usually use scrapbooking sketches per se, but I look at them now and then - as well as pages - for inspiration. I might adapt something I like but nothing is ever the same as the sketch or original work. :-)

    Hi! I just discovered your blog today! I love it!! Thanks for the coupons :). I also love this week's giveaway. I'm currently working on some DIY signs for my October wedding and would love to use the chalkboard cartridge to knock out the lettering. As far as sketches go, I occasionally use sketches for card inspiration. I really like ctmh's how to publications as well. With all of those things I like to put my own spin on them.
