Fun Rocket Man Card PLUS Giveaway!

Today, I am kicking off a week of projects for the boys and men in our lives.

This 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card could be for a child or pre-teen/teenage boy.

The rocket is from one of my favorite Cricut cartridges, Nifty Fifties and was cut at 4-3/4".  Stamp is from Papertrey Ink.
To make the star background, I ran the paper through the Cuttlebug with the Stars folder and then swiped a white inkpad over it.  

Be sure and use an embossing gun on the ink or it will take forever to dry.  Or you could use white embossing powder instead.
I've decided blue is one of the hardest colors to photograph.  I promise these blues match in real life.

    Love your rocket card! I've done quite a few manly cards, but I can't say that I stick to one cartridge more than another. I've used Suburbia, Love you Latte, Old West, Nifty Fifties, and of course Handy Man.

    I bought Handy Man for that purpose, but tend to just use Paper Loft paper and no fancy cuts. I need to get back to using the Cricut for manly cards. I'll be checking back to see what everyone else is using...

    Love your card, so perfect for my grandson, he loves rockets. The cartridge I use the most for manly stuff is Nifty Fifty's, Handy Man and Camp Out.

    i really like this card, and i'll be 'lifting' this for sure. i have a few carts i prefer for masculine boyish cards. 'to the cabin' is one, campin critters is another since (my guys) are outdoorsey and hunters.

    Cute card! I use sports mania but on cricut craft room they have a few free Father's Day cuts, one is a tie and on Pinterest someone made a shirt out of it very cute! I would LOVE the teddy bears !

    Love the Rocket Man card - simple but bold. I don't have a favorite "manly" project cartridge, but I always give my hubby a frog in some form or another for Christmas. We've been married almost 20 years, so he's used to it! :) Well, last year I gave him a magnet using the frog spraying the fly from Campin' Critters cartridge. He laughed. I see it every day on my filing cabinet! I'd really, really LOVE to win the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge - so adorable! I already have several magnets in mind for my grandkiddos. Now I just have to have it!

    I use Cricut Handy Man quite a bit for manly things. I also use a few Cuttlebug embossing folders like Diamond Plate, Diamonds and a few others.

    This is a great giveaway. I collect teddy bears and I've been unable to find this cartridge. It would be perfect for my cards and scrap books.

    Dude and Sports Mania are the best Man ones but, I like nautical cards for men as well so, Splish Splash and Life's a Beach are great for that. Oh, and Art Deco is a great manly cartridge!

    I like the rocket card. I only have men in my immediate family, so I have a hard time finding carts for them. I usually used basic geometric shapes and the Dude cart. I would really love the Teddy Bear cart. Thank you for your generosity.

    I use the Lite cartridge Handy Man a lot for masculine cards. Second is Campin' Critters for some of the camping and fishing images altho I have put OutDoor Man on my wish list.

    I use the outdoors cartridges: Campin Critters, Outdoors man, campout (?), and definitely handy man. My dad and hubby are definitely more builders and outdoorsman more than sports fans...Thanks for the great ideas for a card, my sons' friends will appreciate the new inspiration ;)

    Great card! I love the embossing!! As far as what carts I use for guy projects - I use so many that it's kinda hard to pin it down but I do use Wild Card, Wild Card 2, CM Traveler and Nifty Fifties. Thanks for the chance to win a great cartridge! This is actually one I don't have yet! :-)

    I really don't make "man" cards. There are some people in my life who like colors and other who don't. I use all sorts of "boy" cuts on my daughter's pages and "girl" cuts for boy cards just by picking different colors, or not : D.

    I'm loving this rocket card, very cute!! I don't have any specific 'manly' cartridges, but whatever I can find with sports related cuts or just changing the colors on certain things to make them look manly usually works for me! :)

    1. for the contrast and 2. it is paper!
    I use camp out for the fish and campin critters
    but it depends on it is for, give them what they are interested in...

    Hello Joy! Your card is really cute! I love how you embossed the background and then went over it with white ink, and that rocket is so cute! I have four grandsons (and one granddaughter, can't leave her out) that would really like something like this. I don't have any "manly" cartridges but I have used my Paper Doll Dress UP for a few boy cards. I really do need to get some manly cartridges. I use many different cartridges..create a critter is great for my youngest. The others I have I use bits and pieces to create one. Letters are always great to personalize. Smiles...Tammy

    Very cute card. For my man cards I use Dude, Father's Day and Superman. However for me they are the hardest cards to make.

    done a few manly cards but didn't stick to the same one, used a few cuts from each. my favorite card that I made was a camera cut out on an easel base. you can add a picture too.

    I just got a cricut machine for Christmas and love using it. Since I live in a houseful of boys of my own, I tend to use the Boys Will Be Boys catridge the most. The icons fit both of my boys and the sayings are awesome. I like that it works even for my eight year old that no longer wants to be considered a little kid. I am even in the process of using it for a father's day memory book for my husband that I am allowing my kids to help out with, just for that personal kiddy touch.
