You Make Me Happy When Skies are Grey!

Good morning! It's Kim again!

Lots going on this week! I am on day #2 of guest designing at Miss Joy's blog,  Obsessed With Scrapbooking, and day #2 of My Creative Time Sneak Peeks! What a FUN week I am having! Thank You Joy for having me this week and Miss Emma for coming out with such an AMAZING release!

Now don't forget to head on over and check out all the details over at Emma's blog ~ trust me you don't want to miss out! But I will give you a little hint about her giveaway at the end of my post! I am really trying my hardest to keep my posts very brief all week!

Today Emma and the design team will be showcasing the "I'm Here for you Rain or Shine" stamp set with 3 different dies! The "Stitched Umbrella Die",  "Stitched Boots" and the "Stitched Daisy Die" . Now don't go looking for these at My Creative Time's shop just yet ~ they will be there this Friday for you all to purchase! I LOVE this release more than words right now! There are so many awesome sentiments, little images, and, of course, the dies!

But for today's card I decided to not use any of the new dies! I decided I would use my Cricut again! So I found these boots on the Nate's ABCs cartridge.

Since I like tons of dimension, I cut each layer out twice. I wanted them to look like the real rubber boots - all shiny! I achieved this look by pressing my cuts onto a Versa Mark ink pad. Then I scooped some UTEE over them and used my heat gun. I let the first layer dry and then repeated again. I did this at least 2 times.

Once the cuts dried, I just adhered them all together. The boots from this cartridge did not have handles on them, but that was no problem. I just took thick wire and made them myself. I just taped down the wire on the back of the boots!  Easy, right? Then for my background, I just took a  sponge dauber and some blue ink.

The clouds were my final touch! I just LOVE how Emma's dies have her signature stitching on them! The little water marks under my boots are from this set as well! My cute little sentiment is from this stamp set, and I thought it fit perfectly with my card. I have to say I LOVE how these boots turned out! I rarely ever say that about my creations but these in person are so ADORABLE!!
I told you Emma has left nothing out of this release!
