Introducing Cricut Iron On Vinyl!

Provo Craft has come out with iron-on vinyl!

They sent some vinyl for me to try and asked that I make a home decor project.  I saw a similar pillow design at JC Penney and decided to see if I could make it in the Cricut Craft Room.

Using the flowers from the Cricut Bloom and Cricut Create A Critter cartridges, and the shapes from the Cricut Basic Font and Shapes, I was able to layout the design quickly.
Below is a guide to putting the vinyl on the mat so you get it right the first time.  If you ever are worried about how to do it, be sure and try a very small cut out and see how it goes.
The instructions that come with the vinyl were very thorough and told what settings to use for which machine.  The guide above is for the regular Expression machine.

My pillow case came from Ikea and was $6.  The iron on was easy to use and the instructions were good.  The only difficulty I had was in doing the layers.  I needed to trim out the sections better, which I discovered through trial and error.

Have you used iron on vinyl?  Let me know in the comments!

Winner from Garage Sale Question and Cricut Lacy Labels, Bloom and Handyman Cards!

Christmas in July?  I couldn't resist cutting out this "joy" layered medallion from the Cricut Lite Lacy Labels cartridge and mounting it to an A2 sized gate fold card.  I created a belly band to go around it and tied the red velvet ribbon onto that.

How about this tree card from the Cricut Lite Bloom cartridge?  This card is a 5" x 7" card and both the tree and the "bloom" word art are from the cartridge.  I added some white pen work to emphasize the word art.

Finally, this card is from the Cricut Lite Handyman cartridge and is the perfect sentiment for our winner of my "guess how much I paid for the stamps?" contest!

She nailed it - right on the money!  I paid $44 for all of those stamps.  Then, I went back the next day and got some more!

Here is our winner - Send me an email with your name and address at joyster110@gmail.com and I'll send out your goodies:
