I started off planning to just make the teal and pink card but quickly decided it would be fun to do both kinds (traditional and modern/funky) and see what you guys thought!
Using the Close to My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge, I cut the images above. The font was used in the red/green card. What's nice about this size of card is that they fit into a business sized envelope.
For the teal/pink card, I used the font from the Close to My Heart Artiste cartridge (click HERE to buy). I liked its blocky, modern feel (sizing above). You probably don't need to use real dial size with the Artiste cartridge but for consistency, I did. No harm, no foul.
Using the geometic rings Cuttlebug folder, I embossed the background circles on the red/green card.
I have a glittering technique shown in the video below so be sure to check it out!

I always like red and green for my Christmas cards, so the red and green one is my choice.
ReplyDeleteBoth are great but I tend to go with the traditional green and red colors. I have
ReplyDeletereceived cards that are not traditional and like them but just find myself going back
to the traditional when I make mine.
Red and Green...real feel for Christmas! Wonderful cards. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHMMMM well I'd say in the days before I got crafty I'd say the traditional but after seeing what you do and all the ideas you give out I do love the non traditional one....but I have to be honest and say love them both....would do them just like you did. Super video too I love your laugh!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing but the color of the red and Green as à m'as punch.

ReplyDeleteJoy, I like the red & green because the font is so cool! Thanks for the glitter technique. I usually don't use glitter b/c of the mess...but I will try your method.

I like the red and green
ReplyDeleteLove both of them. Seems that every year is a different color theme. I will definitely try other colors. Great video
ReplyDeleteLove both of them but I guess I'm more of a traditional Christmas girl because I prefer the red and green.
ReplyDeleteLeslie
I prefer the traditional red and green. Thanks so much for the chance to win this cartridge!
ReplyDeleteI love them both! But I think for the less-traditional colors I would use a different greeting - something more wintery than Christmas-y?
ReplyDeleteIrrationally, I love the pink and teal, and now I am pinning yet another of your designs. Did you know I have a board just for you?
ReplyDeleteI love the green and red card but both cards are great! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI like the red and green one that is vertical. I just prefer the more traditional Christmas colors. You did a nice job on both. Thanks for the great idea!!
ReplyDeleteAmber
I simply can't choose! You did a great job on both!
ReplyDelete~Kris~
I like the traditional one better.
ReplyDeleteI like them both but fav is the red and green.
ReplyDeleteI Absolutely love them both! I love the traditional colors but I like the non traditional colors too. Great job on the cards!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the red and green for me. I am a traditionalist! LOL

The red and green is also my chose of colors. Your cards are pretty tho.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are great, but I really like the "non-traditional" card!! I love using blue for Christmas cards, usually paired up with white and/or silver.
ReplyDeleteIt is never to early to start crafting your Christmas cards. If Hobby Lobby can have Christmas out in August then I say craft those cards. Sign them, address the envelopes and put on the stamps then December 1st in the mail ahead of the crowd. I like the red and green but I prefer red with silver.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of the vertical (red & green is classic) but I like the layout of the horizontal.
ReplyDeleteI like them both, but definitely tend toward the traditional red and green. Also like the vertical.
ReplyDeleteI love the pink
ReplyDeleteI love the pink one
ReplyDeleteI like the teal and pink one
ReplyDeleteI really like the pink, blue and white one with the pink glitter letters. I really love something festive but a bit nontraditional.
