Using the Close to My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge and one of the stamp sets that came with the cartridge, I created this fast 5" x 5" card.
For those of you worried about mailing a square card, just put this in a 5" x 7" envelope. Problem solved!
Here are the cuts I used:
Here's the Close to My Heart Artbooking cartridge and one of the included stamp sets to stamp the "Lovely" (see below):
It's just $5 when you spend $50+ at my Close to My Heart shopping page.

No particular vacation plans, my hubby just retired so we're in the planning stages.
ReplyDeleteWe are parents of 7 all pretty much grown, so for the first time hubby and I are go on vacation alone for the first time...so excited!!
ReplyDeleteLike the layers & dies used on this card that is indeed elegant/sophisticated. No Summer travel plans for us. Daughter is going to go back to KC, MO where her college senior animated film is going to be shown at the Hallmark Crown Center. Hopefully there will be companies there possibly recruiting and she will find her career dream job or a job that will get her started in her animation career.

My husband decided that the year each of the grandkids turn 13 we will take them on a trip (driving - no airplanes). They help plan the trip & we get to give undivided attention to them for a week before they are too cool to travel with the old folks. We had our first trip a couple of weeks ago & everyone had a good time. One down & 5 to go. Next years reservations have been made.
ReplyDeleteWe leave tomorrow for Northern Michigan. Unfortunately I"m not really looking forward to it this year. Weather forecast is not looking good, plus we're taking the dog with us for the 8 hour car ride this year...wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. No special vacation plans this year--we do have a family reunion we are attending.

ReplyDeleteNo vacation this year, sending youngest of 6 off to college so we will be making a few trips up to the college-one for freshmen orientation and back up for welcome/move in week. College is only 2 1/2 hours away but I'm still gonna miss my baby. lol I love this card Joy and don't think it is cutesy at all. I don't think you make all that much cutesy stuff to tell you the truth. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI think your card is lovely (and definitely not cutesy!). We will have company all summer - so no vacation then. We are planning to do some traveling this fall, though, before the snow flies (hopefully).

Love your elegant card, thanks for the instructions. No vacation plans. We're notorious for spur of the moment trips, so who knows. I can't tell you how many cheap toothbrushes my husband has bought, LOL!
ReplyDeleteHave some family coming in to celebrate a big 95th birthday in our family! Otherwise, no travel plans...but I may have to have some surgery either late summer or in the fall! YUCK!

Pretty card! Love the colors and shapes! The only vacations we do in the summer are going to my aunts house (the kids and I go, hubby stays home to work). my daughter calls her house our "simmer vacation home" since we are there often. Great-grandma lives next door, she is 95 years old so we go as often as possible! There is a lake nearby that we go to every day we visit...I went there as a kid! We all cook dinner together and play cards, great-grandma too, till bed time.
ReplyDeleteWe only have plans to go to our N GA mountain home a few times this summer. No big travel plans. Your "lovely" card is just lovely!
ReplyDeleteWe can't really afford to take long vacations. We are planning an overnight trip so we can visit an IKEA (never been to one before) and The Container Store. Their is also a large mail nearby that our daughters are looking forward to visiting.
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of going to Ohio to visit my in-laws! They make gourmet chocolates! Plus they live close to King's Island Amusement park! Both kids are old enough to ride anything now, so we figure it is time!! Hope we can pull it off!
ReplyDeleteWe rented a lake house over Father's Day weekend and have a camping trip coming up. Also looking to do an amusement park, maybe King's Island.
