  5. Summer salad I like to make is a pasta salad. I use elbow macaroni and add cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and herbs from our garden. I have made it twice this Summer and we just finished the 2nd batch off yesterday.

  11. I just found a recipe for "Best Broccoli Salad". The family really likes it! 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise; 1/2 cup sour cream; 1/4 cup sugar; 1 bunch broccoli, cut into small florets; 1/2 head cauliflower, cut into small florets; 1 small red onion, chopped; 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese; 1 (3 ounce) container real bacon bits. In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and sugar; mix well. Add remaining ingredients; mix until well combined. Cover and chill at least 4 hours before serving. I had a bell pepper and some celery that needed to be used; so I chopped them up, too, and added to the mix. Yum!

  12. I don't really make salads, because my hubby and son don't like any "green" food *sigh*. The only salad I make is a ramen noodle/cole slaw salad, which lots of other people like, but I'm the only one that eats it in my immediate family.
But we eat LOTS of berries in the summer, so I guess we mix up berries and make our own version of a fruit salad? ;)
