I will be babysitting my granddaughters on New Years Eve
ReplyDeleteI've almost always stayed in, but last year I went to a local casino with a friend and now this year too. It might be a new tradition!
ReplyDeleteWe usually do something for New Years, it's been different every year. This year we will be getting together with our church lifegroup.
ReplyDeleteIt is our anniversary on New Year's Eve...we will go out to lunch and be home by evening to spend a quiet evening.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoy a quiet celebration at home.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your lovely family, Joy.
and wishing you a blessed New Year!
In the last few years we haven't done much for New Years Eve.Really depends on what is going on around our neighborhood My son, Daughter-in-law and two grandkids may come over and they pop fireworks for awhile..We are invited to a New Years Eve party this year but not sure if we will go to that. And me being a little sick right now, we will probably just stay home. Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteEach year is a struggle for me to stay awake til midnight on New Years Eve! I stay home and watch the fireworks from my window they have each year in our little town. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe eat Nudle soup wishing for long life.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner! We will go out to dinner early with my sister, her husband, and some friends, and then come back to my house for snacks and games and ringing in the new year. Working on a Happy New Year banner to hang. Every year, either for New Year's Eve or Day I make Rice Krispies treats in the numerical shape of the new year. The grandkids love it!
ReplyDeleteWe play games and eat finger foods.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Joyce!
ReplyDeleteThis year we'll head to our cousin's for their fun fun party! It will be great to celebrate the beginning of the year with our wonderful relatives and friends.
Congrats Joyce you lucky girl you ENJOY!!!!! Thanks for the awesome coupons Joy YOU ROCK!!
ReplyDeleteWe go out to our fav. Italian restaurant ROSES and then have fun playing the WWI and watch movies.
Not sure what we will do this New Years. But staying home in front of the fire playing some board games or watching a movie sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteWe go to our friends, watch the ball drop and head for home and a good night's sleep. Very low key!
ReplyDeleteWe usually like to stay home and have a family event. This year my kids are older and are heading to their sister's house for a party. We'll get a quiet night alone.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I do on New Years Eve is try to stay awake until midnight but that usually doesn't happen!
ReplyDeleteHi Joy, for New Years eve, we used to party it up in a big way, but now, alas, with the hubby having MS, we now just make popcorn and find a good movie to watch together, unless we have to babysit the grands so our children can go out. Happyu New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteUsually have a quiet evening at home and watch the ball drop on tv of we can stay awake!
ReplyDeleteWe always stay in on New Year's Eve as it's just safer. Other than that it's just curling up on the couch and flipping back and forth between the different New Year's Eve programs. ;o)
ReplyDeleteWe like a quiet evening at home on New Year's eve. Sometimes we stay awake long enough to see in the New Year.
ReplyDeleteI follow on Pinterest. http://www.pinterest.com/abkenterprises/
ReplyDeleteWe usually go to a friends house for dinner and fireworks but since New Year's Eve is on a Tuesday this week, we'll just stay home and probably watch tv. Nothing big this year.
ReplyDeleteUsually we have a very quiet time--maybe family dinner during the day, but nothing special at night. And most of the time we don't stay up to watch the ball drop! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWe usually don't go out for New Year's Eve, but we do have a nice dinner, reflect on the year's past, enjoy our wine, and watch the ball drop at midnight......ready to face another year and all the joys and challenges it may bring. Happy new Year! We wish you only the best!
ReplyDeleteWe grill steaks and potatoes for New Year's Eve. The kids get to pop some fireworks.
ReplyDeleteWe aren't doing anything on New Year's Eve. I don't remember a New Year's Eve that we've done anything and gone out of the house. We usually let the kids have a party that had their friends sleep over. We didn't like to drive that evening at all. That way the kids would have something fun to do and everyone got home safely late the next morning. Call us old! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Joy--this year we're actually going to a friends house for New Years. It's been years since we've done anything, we're real homebodies. Normally I'm in bed well before midnight! LOL. Thanks for the opportunity to win the create a friend cartridge. It's one I've been wanting since it came out. Have a wonderful New Year. hugs~~Patty
ReplyDeleteWe're taking the girls and a couple of their friends to a hockey game.
ReplyDeleteShelley K. from Green Bay
No big plans. Just relaxing.
ReplyDeleteWe always stay in with the kids - watch movies, eat snacks, and play games. Not sure if my now 21 year old will stay home with us this year - will be a sad party if he doesn't :(
ReplyDeleteWe have no plans as of now. We really just like to stay at home and relax and watch the ball drop.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Joyce!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the coupons.
We usually stay home and have a low key celebration.
Crafty hugs,
D~

Spending New Year's Eve with the Family always a Great time.
ReplyDeletejust quiet one for us, romantic dinner at home, we're not drinkers or big partiers and it's too cold anyway to go out!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun array of sentiments. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteWe spend New Year's Eve at home with party food and maybe a movie. This year our son and his family will be coming over to so lots of fun with the grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time in years we are going out to dinner with some friends...early dinner/early home: we're old! That's an interesting cartridge and would be nice to have for title work. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteExcited to try for a new cart. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are empty nesters so usually we check in with our children and other family members around the country, have a nice dinner watch a movie and just spend a quiet evening at home.
ReplyDeleteWith family and thanks for the chance to win!!!
ReplyDeleteAny family or friends who are not working come to our house where we play games, watch movies and snack until the ball comes down. Everyone holds a silver coin for luck, a piece of cabbage for health and a dollar bill for wealth at midnight. Then it is off to bed. Jill P. Manteca, CA
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to all cricut crafters! And especially to Joy who keeps us going with all her great ideas! Just spending a quiet time at home watching the ball in Buffalo, NY drop. rosebud114
ReplyDeleteI will be with a friend that cannot get out, making cards for Operation write home and some of our missionaries. I cant wait!!! She is so special to me. Happy New Years, early everyone! Go 2014!!

The years we don't have a fire ban in our area, we buy extra fireworks and set them off on New Years. But that has been awhile. I guess I need to start buying them online.
ReplyDeleteK&JCreations
I'm staying in on NYE with my 2 year old and husband. Gonna order a pizza, play with legos and just chill in my jammies.
ReplyDeleteWe usually bring in the New Year at church. The service starts at 10 and ends at midnight. Thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteMary O'Neal
Not really much planned for New Year's this year. Thanks so much for the chance to win. I would love this cartridge
ReplyDeleteFor the pas several years, my extended family has come over to my house to eat, watch movies, eat, set off a few fireworks, and eat - before we all settle in to a bunch ofbakeepin bags and all the couches and beds we have to ring in the new year together. :)
ReplyDeleteBakeepin?! Sleeping bags! :D
DeleteIt really is fun to hang out together for NYE!
Congrats Joyce, We will probably just stay home.

We'll be staying in for New Year's Eve. I think picking up take-out on the way home from work sounds like a plan to me and "maybe" watch the ball drop if we don't drop before it does. Happy New Year Joy!
ReplyDeleteGoing to bed early New Year's Eve because I am going to a scrapbooking retreat for 5 days in Tyler tx on New Years d
ReplyDeleteWe usually stay in and have game night or watch movies. We go to bed right after midnight. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWe used to get together with a group of friends but since we moved we are making new traditions I guess. The boys getting older and wanting to be with their friends puts a spin on it too. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteGo to bed early! LOL! Since having children I'm so exhausted I'm usually asleep long before the ball drops.
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on the year. This year we're having a game-party and then I'm going to a singles' dance ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner!!! We don't have a lot planned as of now. We have to take a trip (140 mil) to the airport earlier in the day for my son to head back to NY so maybe just go out to dinner! I am thinking it's gonna be an early night :( Sounds boring, I know! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe craft...yay!! I am missing my room!

Happy New Year and thanks for another fabulous giveaway! I am hoping to make some cards and other crafts to sell in the new year... trying to make ends meet ... hoping to start the new year a little better off. Thanks again. Blessings and Happy New Year to All! penny dot whitlock at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of your hard work and inspiration throughout the year. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWe had planned on having "The Girls" but they are going to another grandparent's home. So New Years Eve will be quiet & peaceful around here. Happy New Year to Joy and her family.
ReplyDeleteDonna K U
I'm already subscribed, love to shop with you and want that happy birthday set! Happy New Year, Joy!
ReplyDeletePenny Light
I just LOVE that cartridge! It's on my wishlist. My family will be hanging out together at my in-laws house to celebrate the new season. We plan to stay the night (kids are able to sleep, and it's safer for everyone), then wake up in the morning to cut a Greek New Year's bread that has a quarter baked in it. Who ever gets the quarter will have good luck for 2014. Thank you for the opportunity and Happy New Year to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteThis would be great to have, thanks for the chance to win. Hope this will be a great year for everyone. C from Beaver
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great cartridge! We stay in for a quiet night, complete with snacks and bubbly, and watch the ball drop on TV. No crowds or cold weather to deal with! Happy New Year!

Thanks for the chance to win this cartridge. New Years Eve we get together with a few friends to eat, visit, and play board games. Very casual but a fun night.
ReplyDeleteLothringen from MI
Just discovered your site and subscribed as I'm getting back to scrapbooking and my Cricut which I've been missing. I LOVE your site. On New Year's Eve our family either hangs out at home watching a movie, or we all go to our city's First Night Celebration (lots of fun musical acts)....we are together and safe, either way. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteKelly S. in H'burg, VA
We went to dinner with a few friends and came home and watched football and the ball drop!
ReplyDeleteWell, Never one for New Years Resolutions, I am breaking tradition by actually making a couple! 1) Go to the gym--not only for myself but to help instill good habits in my daughter. 2) Be a better communicator with far-flung friends and family!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, and thank you for all your giveaways! I love this cartridge!! :-)
Daniela in KY
We just stay in - nice and safe... I had to be at work at 7AM on New Years Day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win this cartridge!
Lin M.
Thank you for the chance to win. Usually stay home on New Years Eve. 12 years of working in an ER on the New Years Eve will make you think twice about being out on that night.
ReplyDeleteHusband and grandson will be at the hunting camp so I am staying at home playing with my cricut. Thank you for all you have shown us this last year. Look fore ward to many new and wonderful ideas in 2014.
ReplyDeleteNYE was spent watching scraping shows on UPStream. Can't wait to see your new creations this year.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be in bed early as hubby had to be to work at 5. Sleep out the old, sleep in the new!
ReplyDeleteWatching the snow add up in the big mitten state. Really pretty out - great day to scrap. But have to shovel
ReplyDeletea path to the barn and to the bird feeders -- they are all looking at the house like they want something:) Plenty of white for pictures in Lulu..
New Year's Eve - I think we were in bed by 9 pm. Not much partiers - just getting too old for that.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for my free Birthday Stamps so I can get going on all the Cards I need this year for everyone who is getting a year younger! Can't wait to see all the great ideas you have for this year. rosebud114
ReplyDeleteThe new stamps are really nice. I have a ton of scrapbooking to do for my grandchildren, and what would be really helpful would be all those new cuts on the Create A Friend cartridge. I would love to win it.
ReplyDeleteElaine S.
Next project - Christmas album! Waiting for snow/blizzard to hit the NY metropolitan area! Lots of scrapping time ahead!
ReplyDeleteCropper Connie - Cropaholic
Next project - start fulfilling my 2014 resolution to make 4 or 5 Christmas cards a month, along with 4 or 5 gift tags. Sure hope I can keep it up! Thanks for the inspiration you provide to keep me and so many other crafters going.
ReplyDeleteMy next project will be to do vinyl on glass block for Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI rarely do anything special for New Year's Eve. I'm pretty boring! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for always posting the coupons and for all your great giveaways!
Thanks for the give away. We just watched the ball drop and went to bed, I had to work the next day. Fortunately for all hospitals never close. I look forward for more good things to come in 2014. I hope we all stay in good health and spirits, and keep crafting on....
