  1. We do not get any Halloween visitors so I do not usually buy candy treats.
I do buy pencil treats to give to my students though.
They get them for all of the holidays and other special events.
I let them pick from my large stash of designer pencils.

  2. I haven't bought in earnest yet. I had to get some for my daughter's birthday goodie bags, but there are lots more bags that need to be bought.

  5. I am like you, Joy! I don't buy the Halloween candy early because I'll eat it :) This year I am sending hubby out to pick up the candy and stash it. lol

  6. We don't get many children on Halloween. I used to buy lots of candy and end up taking it to work the next day.
Thanks for a chance to win.

  7. Not yet, it's too early. It wouldn't make it to Halloween! We have a steady stream of trick or treaters and need lots of candy. It's too tempting to have that much candy around the house staring at you.

  8. I did not buy the candy yet- I'm like you - I would eat it if I did! I plan to take a few minutes today to watch your video on showing the new catalog!

  9. I love your weekly wrap ups. Yes, I bought my candy, but it's slowly disappearing...not only do I know where I hid it, but my husband does, also. We just might have some left for Trick or Treater's.

  10. I have bought my halloween candy and it is still unopened - my husband is the one who likes to eat it!

  12. Great wrap up. I do not buy candy. We don't get trick or treater's. But if we did I would eat anything chocolate.

  13. Love the tree! I usually do not buy any candy, but there seems to be more kids in the neighborhood so maybe I will soon. :-)

  15. We bought the halloween candy already and yes, I hate to admit it - we have been eating it. We now have to wait until the day before to buy more so that we don't eat that too. Love your week projects. Checking out the catalog and asking I have the rosette cartridge - could I make the tree using that cartridge?

  17. I have not, but I guess it's about time to get on that! Now that my kids are past trick or treating age, I think about Halloween later and later

  18. I did buy Halloween candy already but I don't eat it. My son has food allergies so I buy smarties and dum dum suckers...yuck! lol Probably a good thing I can't buy chocolates.

  19. Yes, my candy is bought and ready to go. I made Vampire, Witch and Pumpkin holders for the candy this year. Too cute!

  20. I am taking my grandchildren to disney world this year for Halloween. So I do not need to buy candy this year. My husband was trying to talk me into it yesterday so he could just eat it himself. Silly man ;)

  21. Thanks for the tutorials this week! I probably won't buy Halloween candy this year; I always buy it, sit around waiting on trick-or-treaters, and I'm lucky if even one shows up. And yes, then I eat the candy myself!

  22. I love any rosette projects and am anxious to make a tree like this. As for Halloween candy, we rarely have trick-or-treaters, but I think I have to have some ready whether they show up or not. Every year, I say this is the year they're coming. I haven't bought any yet, but I am a true candyholic...and I would definitely eat it.

  23. We don't buy Halloween candy as we don't have trick or treaters.

  24. Love the many ideas. Especially the rosette Christmas tree. I've made rosettes on straw but the tree is so beautiful for the season

  25. I haven't bought it yet for the same reason as you. It would all disappear before the 31st especially with two boys still at home (and of course I never met a piece of chocolate that didn't call my name!) Jill P. Manteca, CA

  26. Yes I have bought some.... but its more for the kids,,, eyeballs and such ... I am waiting for the good stuff :)

  27. Joy, I'm like you, if I were to buy it now, it would be history before Halloween night! Between my two grown sons, my husband and I, it wouldn't have a chance!!! I'll go this week and then hide it lol!

  28. No Halloween candy for us...yet. We have a jar of mini M&M's that we grab for snacks, but the "real" Halloween bags will probly come this next week. :)

  33. Hi I haven't bought any Halloween candy yet. But the reason why I haven't bought any is I haven't found any that I like yet. LOL. I really like the Christmastree you made.
    Have a great weekend :-)

  34. We don't get any trick or treaters. I'm not buying any candy this year because in the past I've eaten all of it myself - and that's not good. I hope I have enough willpower to pass it by after Halloween.

  35. i love to watch your videos they are so informative I have to try to make the tree. Thanks so much :)

  38. Yes I bought Halloween candy but when I do I put it away so that so one will eat it before Halloween

  39. I dont usually buy Halloween candy since we live in a gated community and no small children and besides, I would eat it if I had it on hand...love sweets and have no self control. :) However, I do enjoy making and decorating the Grandchildren a Halloween bag and putting in some homemade Grandma treats and a surprise in each one.

  40. Love the weekly wrap up...just in case I've missed anything (wink). We live in the country and don't get trick or treat-ers, but I do buy candy that I like...so at least I'm celebrating...LOL!

  43. I still have not decided what my Christmas cards will look like. I know. It's getting late, right?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I don't buy until about the week before for 2 reasons: (1) I'll eat it all before Halloween arrives ;p (2) the sales, man, the sales. Gotta save money somewhere.
