[Video]CTMH Glittery Christmas Artbooking Card

Ok, how can you use packing tape and glitter together to make a card?

It's easy!  Especially with a card like this - with the perfect snowflakes

I used the Close to My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge for the snowflake background.  See farther below for more details on the great deal going on with this cartridge

Above is a close-up - I was hoping you would be able to see how shimmery it is in real life.  Blue colors are always difficult to photograph correctly.

Be sure and watch the video below to see how I made this and for a better look at the card.

Here are the stamps I used:

Close to My Heart "A Holiday" - (see it HERE) - coordinates with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge:
Close to My Heart Snowflakes set - (see it HERE )- coordinates with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge also.
Other products I used:
CTMH Frosted Paper Pack (see it HERE )
CTMH Twilight and Crystal Blue Inks  (see it HERE)
CTMH Silver Shimmer Trim (see it HERE )

Below is the "how to" video for this blinged up, glittery card!  (click HERE if you can't see the video):

A quick personal note:  My dad is in the last stages of cancer and I would appreciate any prayers you could offer up for us.  We just found out he even had cancer about 6 weeks ago and we're down to just a few days left with him.  So, it's been a very, very tough time.  Thank you so much for your kind comments every day - they brighten my day - I love you all!  Crafting is what has got me through some of this because it takes my mind off of everything (see - cheaper than therapy...LOL!).

I so relate in a sense. Not that its my Dad, but just knowing how cancer hits without warning and the timeline is so short for some. My BFF has been diagnosed w/ pancreatic and told her get her ducks in a row. 6 mos. She sold her truck and can you believe her last wish is taking her two BFF's to HI for 10 days. I take her to chemo but last week they denied cause of white cells too low. We don't know exactly what that means but we do realize it could go either way on her "existing" time line. My heart goes out to you and yours and know our prayers are being said every day for them.

  96. Oh Joy, my heart goes out to you and your family. I just lost my mom in April. Take the time to tell him how much you love him and how thankful you are for him. Remember the good times, I didn't get to do that with my dad but with mom I did and I am so glad I did. Dad went to fast we had about 3 hours with him and he couldn't talk or nothing so many in the room. I know they both knew but it is always nice to be able to say it to them. If you want to talk just email me at angels5.2005 at gmail dot com and I can give you my phone number and we can chat. Always helps to get it out to. And our crafts is a blessing at a time like this to, takes our minds off of things like you said. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and your dad.

  120. I love the look of glitter but I hate how it gets EVERYWHERE! I know that there are some companies that sell glitter paper, but it's difficult to find one that doesn't stink like chemicals. The only compromise I've been able to find is to use glitter glue, and fortunately, Martha Stewart has glitter glue in all of her glitter colors. Unfortunately, the containers aren't very big so you can't be as liberal as you were here.

If I could find a way to use glitter without it getting everywhere, then I'd use glitter all the time.
