I have a video below showing how to create this two page layout quickly and easily. I take you step by step so be sure to check it out. This cartridge has some cool features!
Everything on the page is set to fit on the layout with one size. So, for instance, I set the dial above to 11", using the relative size button (which is the default), and every image is automatically resized to fit on the layout. I don't change the size again once I've set it at 11".
I used the Cuttlebug and the Divine Swirls folder on the wave to give it more texture and "wavy-ness".
The layout below is the right side and I show how to cut out these items in the video but I leave the assembly part out because the video was getting too long and it's so similar to the left side.
Check out the video below (click HERE if you can't see it):Here's a quick close up of the Close to My Heart Artbooking Cricut bundle:

ReplyDeleteThe last time I placed our pics on a disc, for back up, was almost 2 years ago. I've gotten pretty bad about it. Plus, my computer is full of pictures. Scary thing to think if I lost all of those memories. Thanks for the review and a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI think the picture keeper is going to be a "KEEPER" for everyone's pictures!!! LOL - TFS - Dorothy

I back up once per month, but the back up device just sits here next to my computer. With this I could protect them by putting them in a fire safe box so I would never lose a picture. Thanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeletebringler@att.net
That photo back up would be perfect for anyone! I do store all my pictures on an external hard drive and would like to store them on my hubby's computer too. Just to make sure we don't lose them. But one more place to have them would be great. You can never be to cautious.
ReplyDeleteAs for your videos I find they are perfect! I love to watch them and see what you do. Thank you so much for all you do.
Fabulous layout!! And super tutorial too!
ReplyDeleteTracy Godfrey

Love this cartridge! I don't mind speeding up the video. I "liked" Picture Keeper on Facebook. I don't have a back up of my photos. I have so many SD cards because I don't want to delete the pics. What if my computer crashes and I lose them all so I never delete the SD cards. The Picture Keeper would be perfect to store all my pictures. Would love to win this.
ReplyDeletediantha@ PC

Love the video (can't wait for this cartridge to come out) and I like it when you speed things up in just the right places. Thanks for the chance to win the Picture Keeper P4.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea as I always worry about losing pictures and you would never have to worry at all with this product. You come up with the best ideas and products, and I look forward to the emails and blog every week. Thank you very much, we all appreciate you very much.
ReplyDeletePatti from Michigan
I think speeding up is a fabulous idea. I don't really need to see each cut made.
ReplyDeleteActually, my hubby bought me a drive (?) so I could backup things. My son showed me how.
ReplyDeleteBut I can't remember what to do with it. They also set up folders for my craft pics and family pics. They told me to separate them by month, I can't remember how to do that either. So they are all together in the same file.
I need to backup my photos more often than I do. We have an external hard drive that came with a scary warning about disconnecting a certain way or it will delete everything. TOO MUCH STRESS to use that device. I definitely would like to try out the Picture Keeper. And thank you Joy for warning us about emptying the trash first...who would have thought???
ReplyDeleteOh yes, and I have LIKED Picture Keeper on FB. :)
ReplyDeleteI did like picture keeper on FB. I am very interested in picture keeper as a way to back up my pictures. Too many of the other devices are not user friendly, and assume that you know what you are doing! i would love to try this!!!
ReplyDeleteLove that layout Joy! The colors are so perfect for summer!
ReplyDeleteTeresa
Ohh, and sorry, I LIKE it when you speed up the video through the parts that we don't need to see every second of!
ReplyDeleteTeresa
I actually prefer having the video sped up, especially for things like cutting, gluing, etc.. Unless it's a new technique which requires more explanation of course.
ReplyDeleteI already have Artbooking and am so looking forward to sample layouts! Have your Dad still in my prayers, Joy. Marsha from New York
ReplyDeleteI love it when videos speed up and do things in fast motion, it gets too long if you have to watch every detail in normal speed.
ReplyDeletei would love to win this but I really do like your post as well and I am really excited for this cartridge. Ruth at lake in Texas.
ReplyDeletespeeding up video is good for mundane things such as cutting, gluing, etc. Janet from Staten Island, NY

ReplyDeleteKeep speeding up the videos - it is easy to follow and I like that it doesn't come across that you are speaking to a kid by going slow. Love the giveaway and hope to win the Picture Keeper P4.
ReplyDeleteWow this picture keeper sounds like something I truly need. I need to be more diligent about backing up my pictures that are on my phone and computer. Thanks so much for doing this wonderful giveaway.

Not sticking down the overlay completly makes complete sense. Saves time and glue. Short cuts for those days we wish we had 26 hours instead of 24;)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the release of the new Artbooking cartridge. I am so anxious to get it. Love the layout too. Thinking seriously of being a consultant.
ReplyDeleteI have an external drive and it such a pain to load the pictures on it, my husband is a doll and does it for me, the picture keeper would be a 'great" gift for him as well as for me. I can't wait to get my hands on the Artboomking cartridge!
ReplyDeleteSandra from San Jose

I am thinking of using the diaper on the Artisite cartridge for a baby shower invitation. My question is: using the insert for the diaper how would I cut the insert so the shower information is centered. I want to type the information using specific fonts that I might have on my Mac.
ReplyDeleteThank You!
