Easter Hunny Bunny Card

First of all, Happy Easter!  I hope you all have some fun plans for the holiday weekend! Between the fish fries, coloring eggs, church, family get togethers, it should be a good time!

Another fun hidden treasure on the Cricut Baby Steps cartridge!  I love finding these goodies on cartridges - I don't know why I get such a kick out of finding the unusual or unexpected on a cartridge but I do.  They are always hidden in the last two feature keys, have you noticed that?  Or they sneak some in on a font key.
This cute bunny rabbit was cut at 4-3/4", all layers, some a few times to get the different colored eggs.  Stitching, wiggle eyes (my favorite, as you know) and a few gems and we're good to go!

The "Hunny Bunny" was from My Creative Time's Color Me Happy stamp set.

How to Make A Quick Layout with a Free Video Lesson!

After signing up for the Layout A Day class, launching in May (see THIS POST for more details and an early bird special), I started to panic about how I could make so many layouts in one month.  And show them on this blog. YIKES!
Then, I got an email from Debbie Hodge from Get It Scrapped.  Many of you got her FREE From Photos to Scrapbook Page in 5 Easy Steps class (if not, get it HERE) so you may remember her high quality teaching.

She is rolling out a series of low-cost classes called Scrapbook Coach and the first one is "On A Shelf".   Here's a bit about that Scrapbook Coach:
Scrapbook Coach is a series of self-paced video classes that teach you to start with a  common page foundation and then shake it up to make great looking scrapbook pages efficiently. In every class you scrapbook alongside Debbie Hodge as she guides you in photo crops, paper choices, title treatments and embellishing.
There is a free video tutorial that gives you an idea what the class will be like so I decided to watch it and make the layout in it.

So, I created this layout:

Watching the video and following her instructions made creating the layout so much easier.  What was nice was that she explained why she put things where she did and what design principles she referenced.

I worried about lining things up evenly so I used a large 2" x 18" clear quilting ruler and mat to try to get those things perfect.

By using painter's tape and sticking down my layout, I was able to get pretty close.  Of course, I thought of that idea towards the end of the project...
No project is complete without some Cricut cuts!  I used the new Creative Memories Tiny Treasures cartridge for the lettering (cut at 1").  Even though this is a baby cartridge, the fonts are excellent and there are many shapes that can be used in a variety of ways.  You can see all the images on the cartridge and purchase it HERE, from my good blogger friend Diane of Capadia Designs.
The label was cut at 1-1/2" and is from the Cricut Sophisticated cartridge by Teresa Collins. Love that cartridge.  And finally, the pennants were from the Pretty Pennants Cricut cartridge and were cut at 2-1/2".

All in all, it took me about an hour to make this layout.  Much of that time was spent finding the right paper.  I have 11,000 sheets of paper (ok, not really that many...but a lot) and selecting paper is always tricky.  For me, this is a speedy quick layout.

If you watch the video and make a layout, leave me a link below.  I'd love to see what you make!!

Quick Easter Treat Bag

How about a fun, quick Easter bag?  I saw these Chevron bags at Michaels and got a set of them in green, pink and yellow.  They are about 5" x 7", just perfect for a little treat.
The bunny was cut at 5-1/4" and is from the Cricut Create A Critter 2 cartridge.  I ended up using the heart for his nose on his stomach by accident and then created a second heart as his nose.  A little boo-boo that turned out kind of cute, I think.

The stamp, "There's no bunny like you" is from the My Creative Time's Color Me Happy stamp set. Check it out below:

Some Bunny Loves You Card and GIVEAWAY!

Look at this cute bunny hiding away on the Cricut Baby Steps cartridge!  There are some really fun finds on every cartridge - a surprise here and there.  Look closely at your handbooks and you'll see what I mean!
The bunny was cut at 6.5", all layers.  I used some scissors to create faux grass. I could have used a Cricut cut but I was impatient.
This little stamp was the perfect size for the card.  I didn't plan well and leave a lot of room so I was thrilled to find this bitty stamp. I can't believe I made a 4" x 8" card and ran out of room!  "Happy Easter" is from My Creative Time's Color Me Happy stamp set - check it out below:
And now, time for a fun giveaway!

Have you heard Provo Craft has come out with three new types of cutting mats?

Be A Happy Camper Book and Card

As much as I love Fridays, today is a teeny sad as it is my last day sharing on Obsessed With Scrapbooking. It's been such a fun week and I thank Joy so much for allowing me to occupy her crafty space this week! ♥
Every summer the cousins, my grands, do a family camping trip. Today's project utilizes the Campin Critters cartridge....LOVE that cart! I'm sharing this book I made for Mila, one of my adorable, talented and crafty grandgirls. ;) Mila, 8, is very artistically talented and loves to draw and write constantly. This 6" x 4.25" book holds all unruled pages so she can draw and write during the campout this summer.
The intro page using a sentiment by My Creative Time, and super adorbs trailer stamp by Market Street Stramps.
I used My Creative Time stitched ticket die and label font stamp set to make a cute name tag. I didn't use kraft paper however. I used my all time fave homemade chipboard using a cracker box! Two cuts, back to back, then punched with the crop-o-dile. If you haven't tried this technique, go finish off the crackers and scrap the box. You'll love it!!!!
The trailer on this cartridge is so stinkin' adorable, I had to make it!! Is this not the cutest thing ever! Using coordinating pattern papers to the book label, I used it on the gift card that will accompany the book.  It even has REAL windows!! I used acetate for the windows and popped the trailer off the background with foam tape.
Super fun papers are Away We Go, My Minds Eye, 6x6 paper pad. I used cloud dies by My Creative Time and Quickutz. Fishtail tags and sentiments also by My Creative Time. Except the 'explore' one...that's a Market Street stamp.
The finished card. Hope you like!
Thanks SO VERY MUCH to Joy for allowing me to play this week, and to everyone who was so kind to leave a comment. Also big thanks to those who are new followers on my blog!! I'm thrilled you find my work worthy and will see you over there next time!! BIG HUGS Product List: Campin Critters Cricut Cartridge My Creative Time, Fly Away With Me cloud dies My Creative Time, Just Simply Live stamp and die set My Creative Time, Fun in The Sun stamp set My Creative Time, Chocolate Greetings flag die Quickutz, rainbow and cloud die My Minds Eye, Away We Go 6x6 paper pad Market Street Stamps, Gone Campin Want to see more of my projects?

Miss You Bunches!

Hi! It's me again, Shar, from Scrapendipity Studio.   Joy, formerly from Everyday Cricut and still from  Obsessed with Scrapbooking has been so kind to let me play on her blog this week.  Thanks again, Joy!!! :)

Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge for my card again today. There's something about that cart that is just adorable and gets the creative juices flowing. I'm a huge fan of puns, so that's what hit me when I saw the banana after yesterday's monkey card. Peachy Keen faces have an expression for anything you could possibly want, and this sad face is how I feel when I start missing my scrapping buddy and grandgirl, Grace, who hasn't been able to visit in a while. I always look forward to the time she spends with us in the summer and can't wait for this year either. This card will go to her. Hurry up, summer vaca! I need my crafting buddy. ;)
The sweet faces are from a recent Peachy release, Erkle and Merkle faces. So cute, aren't they.
The stitched heart and stitched tag dies are by My Creative Time...
...as is the lowercase alphabet die set. I popped each letter with foam tape for dimension. A fave technique I use a LOT. Hope you've enjoyed my projects so far this week. I'd love it if you pop over and follow my blog as well so you don't miss a single future project!

Monkeying Around Card

Good morning! It's me, Shar, from Scrapendipity Studio and I'm so excited to be sharing this week on Miss Joy's blog, Obsessed with Scrapbooking. Joy has been awesome allowing me to play on her blog this week.  Thanks, Joy!!! :)

Once again I've used the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge for this card. I have this weird thing for monkeys {not so much real life ones though - I guess I'm two-faced that way LOL}. At any rate, this baby monkey is too cute for words so he's today's pick! Also, I'd like to give a quick shout-out to my daughter and my dad who share a birthday today! :)
I used circle and doily dies for my backdrop and tied his tail with twine.
My sentiment stamp and cloud dies are by My Creative Time.
Product List: Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge Quickutz nesting circle die My Creative Time, doily die, cloud dies, Fly Away With Me stamp set Pattern papers by Jillybean Soup Ink, twine, buttons, foam tape
