Project, Cartridge and My Creative Time Stamp Giveaway!

So I have a great giveaway and a project today for you!  I made this card last year and it remains one of my favorites from one of my favorite Christmas cartridges of all time, which I will be giving away below!
I cut this super cute stocking at 5" from the Cricut Winter Frolics Shapes Cartridge.  My card was sized at 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and opens at the bottom, although you could have it open to the side.  I love this cartridge!  Take a look at all the shapes on it:

I used various glittery papers from Reminisce and DCWV.  My background was run through the Cuttlebug with a new Cuttlebug Christmas set (under embossing folders, sets on the link).  The embossing folders in the set are shown below:

I used a stamp from the Close to My Heart December 25 set which you can get on Melanie's site HERE.
Card Recipe:
1) Fold red cardstock 4-1/4" x 11" paper in half to form 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card.
2) Adhere piece of 4" x 5-1/4" white cardstock to inside.
3) Run piece of 4" x 5-1/4" white cardstock through Cuttlebug with embossing folder.  Adhere to front of card.
4) Cut stocking from Cricut Winter Frolics Shapes Cartridge at 5", all layers using glittery papers and adhere to front of card.
5) Stamp "Do Not Open" onto white cardstock.  Trim and mount onto green paper.  Adhere to front.
6) Attach red bow to stocking.

Here's today's giveaway!

One lucky person will win BOTH the Winter Frolic Cartridge shown above AND the My Creative Time Stamp sets shown below!

1) My Creative Time All Around Goodies Stamp Set:
2) My Creative Time Just Tags Set which contains coordinating layering dies!
3) Just For You Stamp Set with coordinates with the tag set above!
4) Beary Special Thoughts Stamp Set:

How can you win?

1) Leave a comment below answering this question: What are you having for Christmas dinner?  I am ordering Boston Market for a very stress-free holiday dinner (LOL!).
2) Subscribe or follow the blog.

Winner will be announced this weekend!

  1. I love this card--and I love that you are ordering out for Christmas! We usually have ham and sweet potatoes for dinner but our favorite meal is breakfast Christmas morning with homemade waffles and sausage--yum!

  2. WOW! Awesome giveaway!!! I'm not sure what we are having for Christmas dinner yet...although I think it will be our first time having it as just our own little tiny family - and not getting together with our whole extended family, since we have moved 1,000 miles away! Hoping to find someone to celebrate with though!!!

  3. What a fun giveaway! We used to always have a goose for Christmas, but the last few years when we have gone to buy one it would cost us around $70!! So, we will probably have ham. Thanksgiving I do all the traditional recipes, but Christmas I usually try out some new ones.

  4. Wow...that cartridge is awesome. Your card is just adorable! Let's see...we're probably having a really traditional Christmas dinner since it will just be us this year. Hopefully it will be ham. I subscribe through Reader.

  6. I'm not sure what we'll be having for Christmas dinner because I don't know where we'll be. If with my parents, we'll have Turkey and all the fixings like Thanksgiving. But if it's just the 4 of us at home, we'll probably do something different

  7. I love the card - so cheery! Wish I had that cartridge - so many great images on it. For our Christmas dinner this year, we will be having a soup and sandwich meal. We will all get together after Christmas, so thought we would all be tired of the big meals and soup and sandwiches would hit the spot! Have a very Merry Christmas!

  8. Wow, what a great give away, thank you. Christmas dinner will be prime rib this year, we haven't served it for many years, but though it may be a fun splurge.
Love the sweet card too, I had no idea there were that many Christmas cuttle bug folders!

  9. That would be a great cartridge to have right now. For Christmas dinner, we will have the usual turkey and dressing with all the trimmings.

  10. What an adorable card (and an awesome prize)! We will have ham this year on Christmas Day, but probably go out on Christmas Eve--it is my son's birthday! I wish we had a Boston Market closer to us!

  11. We always have lasagna for our Christmas dinner. Thanks for the chance to win!

  12. Our family tradition is to have fetuccini alfredo for Christmas Eve dinner and to go relatively light on Christmas day so we can just enjoy each other. I will make clam chowder (easy recipe) and we'll probably have yummy sandwich fixings, as well as leftover goodies.

  13. Some one is going to be one very estatic winner.. I can dream can't I? Cute card. I go to my Son's house in No Calif for the week of Christmas & we have established several traditions. Special home made donuts while opening presents. Never know what is on the menu. Last year it was prime rib

  14. Love this card and the sets you are giving away! We are having spaghetti! I know it is not the traditional food of Christmas, but it is a tradition my parents started when we lived in Germany, and I have continued it with my family :)

  30. Wow, that is a great card, love the stocking from the cartridge. I just love provocraft and don't know what I would do without my cricut or my cuttlebug. Great machines.

As for Christmas dinner, I am having my parents, sister and my inlaws, they come pretty much for the whole day to see the kids open their presents, and let them play. It is so much easier they dragging them out. We will be having turkey, stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, carrots, corn, sweet potato, squash, my grandmothers pickles and rolls, and pickled beets and cranberries. Then for dessert, we have 3 choices, apple pie, cherry pie, or toberlone cheesecake. I'm making mulled cider, and hot buttered rum as beverages....too....now I'm not making all of this myself, everyone brings something to contribute....but we really like having a BIG family meal on Christmas. I hope you all have a great Christmas with your families! Ho Ho Ho!

Thank you for the chance to win.

For Christmas dinner, I think we'll be having our NEW traditional, veggie lasagna. My daughter and her boyfriend are vegetarians, so we are a bit limited on menu choices! We have made this the last few times they've joined us for dinner and it is very good. Served with a salad and some sourdough rolls it makes a simple but good meal.

  102. Cute card! To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what we're having for Christmas. I know for Christmas Eve (with the hubby's family) we'll have a smorgasbord with mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, swedish meatballs, etc., but I have to consult with my mom on what she is making/what I need to bring. I was in charge of Thanksgiving, so I've been ignoring CHristmas....

  109. great card. this year we're having the same thing we have every year (i hope) something weird at my in-laws this year my husband and his brother have decided to take the whole dinner on themselves and have all the "kids" (their smaller cousins) make the meals and desserts with them leading the show.. my husband volenteered everyone including his brother and MYSELF (sigh) to be team leaders.. so my husband and I will be in charge of all the desserts and his brother will be in charge of the dinner.. which basically means supervisors lol. Then my family will have the works! Ham, Turkey, mashed potatoes, yams, stuffing, rolls, corn, cream peas, white chocolate fudge, peanut butter fudge, dips, chips, all sorts of pies and cookies. :) thanks so much for the chance to win... the boston market thing is a great idea I may have to consider it for Christmas eve dinner (the one with my in-laws) you know for me to have when we get home cuz I'm sure this will be an epic fail just like the last time they tried this about 6 years ago.. i went home early cuz I was.. well.. sick lol no joke.
