How about a fun, ghoulish card to get this Thursday started?
This Dracula is from the Cricut Happy Hauntings Shape Cartridge and was cut at 4" to fit on this 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card. I used red glitter paper for his cape and shiny silver paper for his face and hands.
I thought about putting red stickles down his chin but it seemed a little too gruesome and I worried I would smear it in my impatience to photograph the card. Good to know yourself...LOL! This "My Favorite Monster" stamp is from the Punkin Patch stamp set called Trick or Treat. See below:
For the inside of the card, I used another Punkin Patch stamp set called Little Monsters (see below), as well as the "Happy Halloween" from the Trick or Treat set:
I am an affiliate for Punkin Patch stamps and if you would like to purchase some of these stamps, please click HERE. They have a bunch of cute Halloween, Autumn and Christmas stamps that they have just come out with - check it out HERE. The quality is outstanding - stamps perfectly the first time!
I pop dotted my vampire for the front of the card, after mounting it onto a Spellbinders oval die cut.

ReplyDeleteGreat new cartridges! Oh I hope I win Happy Hauntings I so love to have that cartridge. Terrific card with the Count. Thanks for the chance to win.
Gosh - I can't believe all the new cartridges coming out - I love the Ribbon and Rosettes cartridge. I am new at using Cricut and am just loving it. One of the things I struggle with is knowing what each cartridge can do/make. So my best tip right now is when you get the cartridge, take the time to play with it and test out each of the functions and characters. This way you know for sure what can be done with that cartridge - too often, I would use one or two characters only not realizing what else was available. Thanks for all your tips and videos, I love visiting your sites. Claudette saphi@bell.net
ReplyDeleteWow, such great cartridges again! Aaaw, I think I want them all:) cute vampire card, tfs!

Love the dracula card! Too cute! I'm new to the cricut so my tip would be just take your time and play with the settings to see how they work. I only own three cartridges so I'm still learning.

I thought it might be nice for newbies if I shared the very first tip I was given when I got my Cricut. That is: Write the word "top" on the protective sheet for your Cricut cutting mat so that you don't accidentally put it upside down on your sticky Cricut mat when you are finished using it.
ReplyDeleteGreat halloween card! TFS!
ReplyDeleteGlad i am a Circle Member! I love paper Trimmings!
ReplyDeleteMy tip is... Make sure the blade housing setting is facing out. Your cut will be smoother.
Thanks for a chance to win. Edwina Brown edwinabrown@comcast.net
Love this!
ReplyDeleteLove this card.... and the Cricut cartridges you showed are AMAZING.....LOVE EVERYONE OF THEM!
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to save every bit of your 'scraps' from cuts. I have an accordion folder by colors. You can piece these together to cut more wonderful things!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card, love him!!
