Best Font Cricut Cartridge of 2010

Provocraft has moved away from purely font cartridges, so there were not too many to consider for this category.  As you can see, the majority of them are found on the "lite" cartridges.  One thing to note is that many of the full size cartridges come with at least one font on them and some of these are just gorgeous!  In fact, I could do a post on just that subject itself....maybe later.

Let's press on, shall we?

Here are the contenders for the category of Best Font Cricut Cartridge of 2010:

1) Cricut Holiday Cakes Cartridge:  This card actually shows some word art from the cartridge, but it is in the same font as provided on the cartridge.  Such a fun, happy font!  Remember that the cake cartridges can be used in all the machines and can be used to make paper crafts also!

2) Cricut Feeling Groovy Lite Cartridge:  I like the funkiness of this font.  It's groovy without being dated.  Whimsical but not over the top.

3) Cricut Cherry Limeade Lite Cartridge:  This is a little more versatile than the Feeling Groovy font, taking up less of a footprint when used, but still with an air of whimsy.

4) Cricut Lite Billionaire Cartridge:  A nice basic layered font in a cursive style - would look great welded.  Here it is not welded but still works!  This cartridge has some very cute Monopoly style images on it also, such as this vest and tie.

Let's hear a drum roll, please.....the winner of the Best Font Cricut Cartridge is the......

I loved how fun, yet easy to use, this font is!  The shadow is just a whisper of a background and doesn't interfere with the overall look of the font.  If you want more of a shadow, offset it a bit for a different look.  I love to use this font!  Here's another card made below with it.

Just as a note, this cartridge is only available at Walmart (online and in stores) and Cricut.com.

What is your choice for best font?  I'd love to know!

  23. I want to say that I wish Provocraft would make MORE fonts...that's the whole reason I bought my Cricut in the first place! For my all-time favorite, It's a tie between Hanah Montana (I bought it for the fonts) and Storybook. For 2010, for sure the Cherry Limeade!

  24. The Cherry Limeade Lite cart is fabulous (and on my wishlist lol). My all time font favorite is Lyrical Letters, and my 2nd favorite is Mickey Font (and they both pack a lot of extras). And then there's the endcap fonts on Plantin Schoolbook.

I do love your selections....I am not a big Lite cart fan....I wish it had some form of booklet with it I guess...Thanks for showing me that maybe I just need to give the Lite carts so love...=)
