Jaylene sent me a link she used to purchase the above Cricut bag featured earlier! The best thing about her source is that you can get the bag in practically any color!

Here are the color choices:
Hot Pink
Black
Forest Green
Kelly Green
Khaki
Lavender
Maroon
Navy
Orange
Purple
Red
Royal Blue
Turquoise

More Cricut Expression Tote Bags...

Look at this cute bag (above) and at a nice price also - $22.95 before shipping! Click HERE for details and ordering.

Then, if you prefer a rolling Cricut tote, check out these bags below at CricutMachine.com. They are so cute but pricey at $84.29. However, they are custom designed for the Cricut and even have straps to hold it in place. See photos below. They have a dark pink one also on their website. Click HERE for more info.

Also, I have gotten some emails from people who have found suitable bags at Home Depot, regular luggage stores and even a tool supply company. So, there are lots of options out there. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that the Cricut needs at least 21" in length. If anyone has other solutions, please leave a comment or use the "contact me" button to let me know. A photo would be great also. Thank you!

Cricut Storage Part 3

Brand New is this cartridge tote from CGull that has been designed to match their rolling totes! These come in many colors and pricing ranges from $37-$69.  You can check it out at cricutmachine.com but you may also want to do a google search to find the best pricing.

Another interesting storage idea here because this keeps the whole package (box, handbook, cartridge, overlay) all together and up and out of the way, mounted on the wall. This would be perfect for the person who scraps at home and rarely goes to crops. It costs $29.95, holds 16 cartridges and measures 18"w x 16.5"h x 3.5"d. It comes with hangers attached for easy mounting.

Check out this storage option HERE at Organize More.

Another great thing about this vendor, Organize More, is that they also have storage options for stamp pads, Sizzix dies, and ribbon organizers. They even have combo units, for example, ribbon/ink storage in one unit.

Another great storage idea is the Scraponizer for the Cricut. I am unable to post a photo of it because it is SO new but go to stampingscrapping.dot by clicking HERE to see it. It holds 4 cartridges, handbooks and overlays in an 8.5x11 plastic clamshell that sells for $9.99. They are the exclusive dealer until sometime in April.

Ways to Keep Track of your Cricut Cartridges

Amanda aka AMKScrap on the Cricut message board has created some cute lists to keep track of the carts you have and the carts you want. She has broken them down into fonts, shapes, licensed carts, solutions carts and classmates carts. Click HERE to go out to her blog and download some for yourself! Be sure and leave a nice comment for all her hard work! ;-)

Finally found a bag to hold the Cricut Expression

The Cricut Expression is a large machine and finding a bag for it has been a recent goal of mine, especially since I stated taking Cricut classes (see this post) and want to bring my Cricut. So, I searched around on the internet and found a few options.

The first one was at Joann's- the Tutto (see photo below). At Joann's, this costs $157.50 before a coupon and if you get it with a 50% off, then your cost would be a little under $80 before shipping. The nice thing about this bag is that it has wheels. Also, there is a choice of colors: red, black, pink, lime or purple. Click HERE to see the order page at joann.com.

Then, of course, Cricut has made a duffle for the Expression and you can view that in the picture below. It sells for $39.95 and holds the Expression machine. It only comes in the black and lime green combo shown. Click HERE to order this one and see the details.

Finally, locally here in Dallas, at a store called Charming Charlie's (corner of Park & Preston), I was able to get the bag below for $22 on sale (before tax) - normally it is $30. It also comes in brown but I liked the pink! It is such a cute bag and versatile since I can also use it as a regular travel bag. The critical dimension for finding a bag is 21" long. You would be surprised how many bags are NOT that long. To measure in the store, since I didn't have a measuring tape, I used a regular sheet of paper (11" long) and laid it out along the bag.

If any of my readers have any other bag solutions, let me know and I will post them!

More Cricut Storage Solutions

While at the crop at the Scrap Shack in Frisco, I got to see two new Cricut storage solutions! Both ideas were brand new to me and I hadn't seen them anywhere on the net so I asked Tammy and Miriam if I could post these ideas and they agreed! Those girls are the greatest!

Above is the custom created Cricut cartridge storage which comes with the new red & black Crop In Style binder, ALL the product info sheets blown up and in color for every cart on the market enclosed in clear page protectors, the hard acrylic sheets to hold the cartridges, and the clear pockets for holding the overlays and booklets. Miriam loves this solution because everything is together and at hand - 1 container for it all! This retails for $79.99 and holds 80 cartridges. Go here to see more pictures, get more information and to order: Memory Lane

Tammy came up with another great concept for storing the cartridges and overlays which is the flip up Plano boxes shown here. She removed every other flip up section and then placed the overlays directly behind the cartridges. She keeps the booklets in a separate snapware plastic box. I found the flip up boxes for sale HERE at Bass Pro Shops. I think the model you want is 3714, costs $14.49 and holds 16 cartridges.

Cricut Storage

Figuring out how to store the Cricut cartridges is tricky. For one thing, the boxes they come in are bulky and awkward - not conducive to carrying them around or even flipping through your stash quickly. So, I have been searching out solutions to this problem and here are a number of ideas people have come up with to store their cartridges in space saving ways that are easy to carry.

This first way is my favorite and the one I use. I like that it holds SO many cartridges - there is room for 40! Not that I have that many, but it's nice to have room to grow (ha ha!). Also, it's compact and simple.

Snapware Ribbon Holder for Cartridges:

HERE on this thread on the Cricut MB, Channyne posted actual instructions on how to cut that large needlepoint plastic canvas to separate the cartridges and it works like a dream in the bottom section. I also used a black Sharpie pen on the top side of my cartridges to ID them (like PDDU = Paper Doll Dress Up, etc.). You can purchase these Snapware Ribbon containers at Lowe's and Target (check Christmas clearance aisles) or online HERE for $11.49 at the Container Store. They have a similar looking item at Joann's but don't buy that one because the bottom of the top large section has a scooped area and the books wouldn't fit in there correctly.

Other options are:

Cricut Storage Book:

Cricut sells a book that looks like the cartridge books but holds just cartridges and overlays (see above photo). This holds 8 cartridges, can be either orange or blue (so you could have fonts in one and shapes in the other) and retails for $9.99.

Scrapcessories Caddy and Tray:

Caddy:

Tray:

Then, this woman on the Cricut message board has designed and is selling these (above photos). She has a caddy for $12.99 that holds 8 carts and all their accessories (booklets and overlays). Or you can just buy the tray only for $8.49, which could be put into a notebook, after punching holes with the Crop A Dile. Prices decrease as after you buy 3 (down to $10.99 per caddy). These are a preorder item and will be shipping in February. Click HERE to get more info and pre-order.

Other People's Solutions:

Dany's Storage Solution from Michaels:

This thread from the Cricut message board HERE has many more ideas.

Finally, once you've come up with a storage solution, if you don't want to throw away the original boxes, you could store them inside the box the Cricut came in, because most likely you didn't throw that box out either. I know I didn't.
