[Video] Close to My Heart Artbooking Frame with Buckle Boutique Rhinestone Material

When the Buckle Boutique asked if I wanted to try out their rhinestone self adhesive sticker sheets, I said yes!

I had seen the Cricut machine they quickly and easily decorated with the sheets and was very impressed and wanted to try it out myself (see below):
I knew just the project I wanted to do using the sheets and the Close to My Heart pennant frame!
Below you can see some close ups of the rhinestone sheet and further down, I have a video telling how to make this frame.

I found the Buckle Boutique rhinestone sheets to be easy to use and here's why:

- They cut easily in the Cricut, a paper trimmer or even by scissors. That's because they aren't hard rhinestones, but rather a flexible resin like substance (you can see more in the video). It easily cuts and the rhinestones stay intact, even if you cut down the middle of them.
- The self-adhesive backing is very strong.  Also, that backing means you are not messing around with glue, or worrying that your adhesive won't be strong enough - that's all taken care of.
- I used the following settings:
Deep Cut Blade: 6
Pressure: 3
Speed: 2
and multi-cut 5 times
Put the material face down on the mat (so the adhesive backing side is up and the rhinestones down) and make sure to flip your image.

One more thing: The rhinestone sheets come in a variety of colors and sizing which you can see HERE.

The Close to My Heart pennant frame matches a cut on the Close to My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge so I decided to use all my cuts from that cartridge (see below):

  3. I'm not sure if the frame I made is what is called a scrapbook frame. I made a wedding frame for one of my wedding photos. Like the sparkle of the rhinestone sheet.

  28. Okay just so ya know I cracked up laughing at the "just put an embellishment right over that" HA HA, been there done that! I have done a few shadow frames and love doing those, I alter frames as well. I have avoided the rhinestone stickers but if they cut well it might be great for flourishes!
