[Video]Close to My Heart Frosted Christmas Card kit - Merry and Bright

Today's card was made using the new Close to My Heart Frosted Christmas Card kit.  There are no Cricut cuts on this at all (I know, shocker!).

This is one of the cards you can make using the kit and I show you how in the video below.
I love this kit because for $24.95, you get all the materials to make 15 cards (5 cards of 3 designs) plus the fabulous, fun large "D" sized stamp set (see below).

Check out the large stamp set that is included (shown below). It has a value of $17.95 and cannot be purchased separately - you can only get it in this kit.
I love the Christmasy sayings on this stamp set and the way the cards use all of the stamps.

Here are the 3 card designs:
Here's what is included in the kit (instructions, 15 envelopes and card bases, cardstock, patterned paper, stamp set shown above, glittery twine, and sparkly gems):
The only other items you may need to have in addition to the kit are cocoa, cranberry, olive and twilight ink pads (see HERE to get those).

You can purchase the CTMH Frosted Card kit HERE.

Watch the video below to see how to make this card (click HERE if you can't see the video):

  1. I still have my one little pumpkin out, and that was it for Fall decorations this year! No time since I'm in school right now. I don't carve my pumpkins, that way I can leave them out til Thanksgiving. My neighbor is putting his Christmas decorations up though already! Would love to get my hands on the Best of 2009 cartridge--it's so hard to find one with a horse on it!

  2. I still have my fall decorations out - I took down the two Halloween decorations I had up, but left the Fall type. We usually "do" all the Christmas decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving - we get our tree and then pull out the 6 large bins of Christmas decorations and start the decorating.

  3. Gosh, it's so crazy to have Christmas decorations up. I'm certainly not in the mood yet!
We won't be putting up our decorations until after Thanksgiving too.
looking forward to winning the best of 2009 :-)

  11. Great card kit. I have more Fall decorations than Christmas ones (and I have a lot of Christmas decorations!) - still need to get my Thanksgiving decorations out, so no, haven't thought about Christmas decorations.

  12. No Christmas decorations yet and probably won't be able to have a tree this year as my cat got very sick last year trying to eat the artifical tree. However, will decorate everything else I can. Love Christmas! Also love the 2009 cartridge. Lots of variety. Sue L - Mexico, MO

  13. Still enjoying the fall decorations and will until after Thanksgiving. Besides my husband waits until the last second to put out the Christmas decorations, with the hope that it will be too cold to work outside, or there will be a huge snow storm! Every year so far his plans have not worked and we have beautiful decorations!!!!!!

  16. Christmas is my favorite holiday but Halloween belongs to my husband. We have so much that we just finished putting our October decor away. Christmas decorations have always been put up the evening after Thanksgiving as a family tradition.

  18. I love everything about Thanksgiving - I love black olives. I make everything from scratch. Sometimes we have turkey and sometimes we just have chicken and dressing. I all depends on what my husband wants to eat that year. I like them both so it doesn't matter to me. Great give away. Thanks for a chance to win.

  21. No decoration yet but I did buy a Christmas gift for my grand-daughter Molly her first rocking horse.
I can't wait to see her on it...
I do want to buy a fiber-optic tree this year...
    Thanks for a great give-away.

  22. Yeah! The Christmas tree is up! LOL. My husband got sick of putting it up and taking it down so-o-o he made an enclosure in the corner of the downstairs family room and put a sheet hanging on three side and there hides our decorated Christmas tree. When Christmas comes - we just unhook the sheet. Nobody even pays attention to the sheet hanging in the corner.

  32. No Christmas decorations up. I am working on getting a few Fall/Thanksgiving things I have out. Christmas decorations do not come out until the day after Thanksgiving. Instead of shopping, we decorate. I am looking at getting ready to start my Christmas cards, you can never start too early on those.

  36. No for me. It is too early. I like to enjoy the fall colors through Thanksgiving and then move on to Christmas. Seems every year the stores are pushing Christmas to start earlier and earlier.

  48. Love these cards! I bought the kit and I only have the warm winter wishes card to put together. My husband put some Christmas decorations up in the house, but not outside yet.

  49. I am a December baby so my family would always wait until the day after my birthday to put up the Christmas decoration. Now that I live in a tiny apartment, I don't put up decorations at all. Sad.

  50. I want to start on my cards early this year, last couple of years I have been late and sent out New Year's cards. The kit is a great way to get started early! And I haven't even thought about Christmas decorations yet. I just took down my Halloween decorations and I'm putting out Thanksgiving decorations.

  51. I already have my cards done but I love all of yours and have some ideas for next year :) Christmas decorations don't go up until the weekend after Thanksgiving at our house!

  52. No way.. no Christmas decorations till after Thanksgiving ! Thanksgiving is such a forgotten holiday .. it is nice to relax and give thanks to the people who make a difference in your lives before the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Holidays begin! Black Friday starts the Christmas season for me and then you shop to you drop and decorate after :) However being a crafter you need to make your Christmas things early just not decorate your home with them yet :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Christmas decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving - weather permitting. However, because I make my own cards I usually start them in October. I love looking at the ones you make! Even if I don't have the cartridge you used I can usually get an idea.

  60. My home is about 1/2 decorated for the Christmas Season. I have a lot of extended family over for Thanksgiving, so I try to have the house completely decorated for Christmas in case some of them don't make it back for the Christmas Season. I quilt Christmas Art, so there are many quilts hung on the walls, we have Steinbach Nutcrackers (118 of them) on all the fireplace mantels and 1 tree is complete up so far! 2 to go. My favorite dish on Thanksgiving are the people sitting on the chairs around the table, but next would be the traditionals Turkey & Dressing. I use the recipe that my MIL used for years & everyone always appreciates the tradition of the same recipe to celebrate the holiday. It seems to bring past generations to the table with us!

Thanks for the chance to win the Best of 2009 Cartridge. Looks like a great one! Thanks you again.

  63. DH never took the lights down last year. :(
I put up a Halloween banner and some pumpkins and then took them down the day after Halloween. I have a turkey flag to put up. Maybe next week.
It annoys me that Christmas decorations and items are already up in stores. It takes away from the holidays before Christmas.
Thanks for the chance to win the best of cart!
