[Video]:Close to My Heart Artiste Belly Band Card

Today's belly band card is from the Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge and was cut at 5".  You can find the card on pg. 49:

A quick tip about cutting the belly band, which is a layer to the card itself:

To cut it using a 12" mat, tell the machine you are actually using a 12x24 mat (even though you are not) and it will cut it just fine.

If you don't, it will say that it is too large to cut.
The flower is cut at 3" and is on pg. 54 and the banner is cut at 1" and is on pg. 58.  The matching stamp (Oh Happy Day) comes with the Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge.

Check out the video below on how to make this card (click HERE if you can't see the video):

  11. I have a quick tip. When threading twine through buttons, use the old-fashioned wire needle threader. It works great and saves tons of frustration.

  25. I found what really works well with getting twine through button holes is to put a dab of a quick dry adhesive on the end and twist it. It dries really quick and almost works like a needle.

  70. Great video tutorial! It occured to me that I could cut a belly band and wrap it around the layered/matted piece as a permanent part of the front of the card. It would not have to be as long then either. Hmmmmm...need to go experiment now.
