It's A Moose Birthday Bag with the Go Canada Cricut Cartridge

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

I am LOVING the new Go Canada Cricut cartridge!  It has the cutest images on it!  This moose caught my eye right away and I thought he would be fun on a "Happy Birthday" bag.  Some other cute images and word art on this cartridge have to do with hockey, which my husband plays.  Look for a layout about hockey in the near future.  It has skates, the puck and net, the stick and some cool word art like "he shoots, he scores!" and "Hockey Night in Canada".  Take a look below at some of the images:

To start, I cut the moose at 6-1/4", all layers.  I love that the black eyes are all one piece!
The "Happy Birthday" is actually a "Happy Birthday Canada" word art piece.  I trimmed off the "Canada" on the base layer and the shift layer, as the "Canada" part was directly underneath "Birthday". I cut this at 2-3/4".
I added a bit of faux stitching around the bag for some interest.
Close up of the moose!
The Go Canada Cricut Cartridge is available at Michaels in Canada.  I do not know of plans to release it here but you never know.

One more thing:  I forgot to announce my Hello Thursday winner of the Happy Hauntings cartridge.  The winner is Deana L.

Please email me at joyster110@gmail.com with your full name, address and what you won, Deana.  You have two weeks to claim your prize.

Don't forget I have a Christmas layout up on Everyday Cricut - check it out HERE!  Plus we are giving away the Sophisticated cartridge on Everyday Cricut also!

This is really cute except that the poor moose looks like a head mount trophy or a practice target, poor guy! LOL! Being an animal lover, I guess I just naturally notice silly things like that!

Joy, this moose is SO cute. But what's that I see behind his head? Could it be a (gasp) target!? Oh, I hope not. He's just too adorable. I have to get this cartridge!

I'll bet that cartridge will be a best seller in Canada but I hope they offer it everywhere as there are many images that could have multiple uses.

I love the moose. It reminds me of Bullwinkle. When I was about 6 or 7 my mom threw me a Rocky and Bullwinkle bday party. If I can get the pics from her they would be so fun to scrap. This cartridge looks like a lot of fun.
