Baby Onesie with Cricut Paper Trimmings Cartridge

 This cute baby boy onesie went together in a flash with the new Cricut Circle Paper Trimmings cartridge.  This cartridge is exclusive to the Cricut Circle members.  They've had some great cartridges lately - last quarter's was Sophie and it was beautiful! Here's a close up of that Cricut Paper Trimmings cartridge:


I got this onesie at Walmart for around $3, the Heat 'n Bond and the fabric in their fabric department.

Here's the instructions from there:

  1. Iron fabric using heavy starch.  Iron onesie where image will go. Then, Iron Heat ‘n Bond onto back of 6” x 6” square of yellow fabric and onto back of 6” x 6” square of blue fabric.
  2. Set the blade at 6”, speed at 3 and pressure at 6.  Multi-cut 2x. Using Cricut Paper Trimmings cartridge, cut Moon at 3” using the yellow fabric.   Cut Moon-s at 3” using blue fabric. Remove paper backing.
  3. Iron on Moon and Moon-s according to package directions. Do NOT over-iron as it won’t stick.  (Ask me how I know...LOL!)

    Oh so adorable!! I have not dared to try fabric yet. In due time.lol. I only have a few stamps and right nnow i store them in an accordian folder, and my wooden ones in a Wal mart bag. there is only a couple so far.

    Great onesie, I am having a baby shower for a friends daughter and we are having everyone bring a onesie with something on it (I will be cricuting mine) and will then give them to the mother-to-be. Thanks for the giveway (I gave my stamp storage idea yesterday).

    I transfered them all from their packaging to a page protector system. How ever my stamps don't stay stuck to the page protectors and fall out, so this summer we were getting rid of a lot of our old CD's and I saved all the good cd cases and will switch them over when I can get in to my new craft room. I hope this works or I may really regret getting rid of the pakages.

    Very cute onsie. I store mine in either drawers or the in a box in the packaging they came in. I guess I do have a large alphabet in a binder with my sticker letters. Forgot about it.

    I'm not brave enough to try fabric iron-ons yet. I'm still getting up the nerve to try vinyl. I've only had my Cricut for a few months and haven't had time to get "proficient" at it yet!

    But this onsie is ADORABE and I wish I could do this as a baby gift for my new nephew!

    What a cute onesie! I also found out about 'over ironing' :( ...I just starting following your blog a couple weeks ago & that's when I learned about cutting fabric & how to adhere it (over ironing wasn't mentioned, sadly!)
    I have a plastic unit with drawers & the bottom one is the deepest. I place all my stamps in that. All my ink pads, embossing powers, etc are stored separately in their own plastic bin. Really enjoying the site!

    The possibilities for the onesie is endless. I store my stamps in a deep drawer! I stamp each one on paper (keeping the set together)& keep in a 3 ring binder for reference. Each set is numbered, so easy to find. A very simple method to save a whole lot of time....

    I store my acrylic and nonmounted stamps in a cloth box that goes into a shelving unit, and my wood mount stamps go in a drawer right next to my scrap desk.

    Cute onsie! I still haven't tried cutting fabric with the cricut but every time you do something with fabric, I keep telling myself to do it. I wish I had thought about buying fabric when I was in Joann's with weekend. I'll have to make another trip. BTW, I store my stamps in a plastic 12 x 12 plastic artists storage container which is about 2' high and it has a handle so I can carry it to my crops. I store my stamps by topic and holidays. Each storage unit is labeled so I know where to find the stamps I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing the cute onsie.

    I cannot express how sad i am that I am unable to have this cartridge that I so desire!!!! This is the coolest cartridge!! Love it!! How do i store my stamps -I have tons of ctmh and I file them according to holidays, words, months, etc... in a black box from Cm (that consultants could buy to hold their punches) all other stamps sets are in a lg binder from CM. the new sets from the blog sites are kept in a box by the holidays they represent!! - I LOVE ACRYLIC stamps! doris

    I store my clear cling stamps in CD case which are kept in small crates. For my wooden stamps I made a custom cabinet to hold clear acrylic box picture frames as drawers. I sorted my stamps (seasons, birthday, borders, backgrounds, etc.) It works great. Some drawers hold ink pads, embossing powders and glitter. Would love to win a set of stamps.

    This baby onesie is too cute! I store my wood mounted stamps in plastic bins with pull out drawers, sorted according to kind (holiday, words, flowers, etc) and my acrylic stamps in a special binder (I think from Inkadinkadoo) with clear pockets, except for my CTMH stamps which go in the CTMH plastic storage bins! And of course Digi stamps in a special file in my picture folder on my computer :)

    I store mine in a Rubbermaid bin with heavy felt between layers of wood block stamps and keep the clear acrylic stamps in their original sleeves or in zip locks with a sheet of heavy card stock. The acrylic stamps work well this way but I tend to not use my wood block stamps as much because I can't see them.

    I keep my clear stamps in SU dvd cases, organized by manufacturer. I keep the few wooden mounted stamps that I have in their SU clear plastic cases.

    I love the onesie, I would have never thought about that. You asked how we store stamps. I keep mine in empty cd cases for the clear stamps, I love it I can write what type of stamps and can see what stamps are in there easily. My mounted stamps are in a clear case that I got at Michael's and they are laying down so I can see the image on the block. I hope this helps and thanks as always for such cute ideas

    What a cute onesie! I made some bags for my piano students to carry their music in, using Cricut to cut out fabric shapes to decorate. Apparently, I didn't iron them on well enough though, and I'm anxious to try again! I store my acrylic stamps in CD cases and my wooden stamps in plastic storage cases.

    I do not have a lot of stamps at this point, because I am just now getting comfortable with it. Right now I have no storage system - they stay in their original packaging in a box - so I guess that is a storage system, just not a great one! LOL!

    Cute Onesie! I store my clear satmps in a binder inside sheet protectors. One set of stamps inside each protector. This way I can flip the pages and easily find what I want :-)

    Very cute onsie! I never think about cutting fabric with my Cricut. My stamp storage could be better. I purchase a cupboard for my mounted stamps and I have my cling stamps in hanging folders in a filing cabinet. BTW, I'm already a follower of your blog.

    I like to keep my SU Sets in their original containers, sorted by categories on a shelf, acrylics are in a drawer, single wood mounted stamps are in a couple of three drawer containers sorted by theme. Not a great system but workable. Cute onsie! If you do not want the stripes of the fabric to show through put an extra layer of white or muslin fabric behind the lighter fabric.

    Love the onsie, its so adoreable!!! I've got to get my nerve up, & cut some fabric:):):). As I mentioned yesterday, I store all my stamps(wooden one have been unmounted)in a few zip up binders, & then use my reference(stamped images) notebook to quickly look through all my stamps, my embossing folders, etc...

    Cute onesie! The moon & stars look so sharp against the stripes.
    I store my stamps in a variety of ways. Acrylics go in cd/DVD cases & blocks stay in their plastic boxes. I also have a bin for my singles. What about you? I'd love to know if you've got a great method to share.

    Love the onesie, it is so adorable! Will definately try this technique! My grandson gave me his book bag for my crafts. It looks like a briefcase/zippered and has a looseleaf (allows me to write notes,) zippered storage areas (to store the acrylic blocks.) Purchased 3-ring photo vinyl sheets from an office supply store. Some are 8 1/2" x 11", some pages are 4" x 6" (2 on a page) and vinyl sheets that hold baseball cards for the smaller stamps. It works perfectly for me!

    I can't get my wonder under to stick sometimes, I must be over ironing it. LOL! I keep my stamps in cd cases that I got @ the dollar store 3 for $1.25. I numbered each case on the side where I can see the numbers. Then I put the backing of the stamps in a binder and numbered them according to the cd case. Now when I want a stamp I go to my binder and pick it out, see what cd case it's in and quickly access it. It's so soooo easy! Thanks for sharing.

    Hi, I LOVE the onesie idea. I check your site everyday for new and exciting ideas - You offer such great projects. I store my wooden stamps in plastic bins, and my clear stamps in a notebook on clear page protector sleeves, then inside a 3 hole punch page protector. For my wooden ones I have a reference notebook that is divided by theme, and each stamp is stamped on white paper so I know what I have. This stamp set looks super fun, and I would LOVE the chance to win it!

    I stamp all my stamps on paper and label each one with W for wooden or A for acrylic and all a number. I label both the paper and the stamp. I put the acrylic I pockets in a 3-ring binder in numerical order. The wooden ones I store in a drawer. Sets I label separately. I have the binder divided onto categories. All I need to do is look into the binder see what I have and I can go right to it.

    My daughter and I really love to sew but we've never tried cutting fabric with the Cricut. You've really inspired me with this onsie!

    I have quite a few stamps now. I have them stored in boxes that have three-ring plastic sleeves in them, as well as a separate section for blocks or wood stamps. Each one holds a ton of stamps. When closed, they stand upright on your shelves and even come with a small metal name-plate on the binding for indicating the contents. So far, I have three. I got them at Micheal's and feel they were a pretty good investment. Just hope Micheal's continues to carry them. I keep all my inks and ink pads in a plastic box.

    Such a cute onesie! I store my stamps in a couple different ways. If it's a set, I keep it in the container it came in (ex. Stampin' Up clam shell) and put it in a drawer in my filing cabinet, stacked on top of each other. It's not exactly a good system. My individual stamps I had on a little set of shelves that I bought at a garage sale. Unfortunately, my DH fell into it and broke it so I'm still looking for a way to store them. Most of my stamps are the wooden mounted rubber stamps and I have not unmounted them yet. Thanks for the chance to win.

    I store my stamps in those plastic drawers that you can buy at Target and Walmart. Then I TRY to organize them by theme in the different drawers. I have another whole set of drawers for ink pads, embossing powders, etc.

    The clear unmounted stamps I put in a cd case and store on my cd rack that is in my craft room for just that purpose. The mounted/wooden stamps I have under my work area in a 6 drawer rubbermaid type bins and just pull them out when needed. Love the onsies but really upset with provo craft for making some of their cartridges just for the circle. Not all of us can afford the price of the circle - they could give them to them free and still sell them to us.

    How I store my Stamps, not so dificult to do... I only have 3 sets, that came with the art philosphy cartridge...hihhihi. And I'm liking it. So I store them with my inkpad in a 12" drawer so far. and there is more place for a few more......

    Cute onesie! I store my stamps in several ways. The wood mounted alphas are mostly in a tackle box turned on its side with four removable "drawers." The dividers in the drawers are perfect for the alpha stamps! I store my clear stamps by style in other drawers loosely.

    I store my stamps in a drawer. I would like to be more creative, but that is it. I love the onesie.

    I store my stamps in cd cases in my jetmax cubes. I use the cube with the 4 drawers and the cd cases fit perfectly. I also label the top of the cd cases and when I open the drawer I can easily grab the case I need. I LOVE this way to store my stamps. Thanks so much for the chance to win!!
