Number One Dad Card from Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Cartridge

I made this A2 card (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") using the new Cricut Lite Celebrate with Flourish cartridge!  It's in my top 5 picks for the Cricut Lite release since it is so versatile!

I cut the "#1 Dad" and fishing rod/reel/fish combo at 3" each.  It worked out since I could go ahead and angle the fishing rod.  I added a silver brad where the reel goes.  Fortunately, this time the fish was hooked through the mouth, as opposed to the eyes as I (mistakenly) did on the Wildlife fishing card (whoops!).

I layered the "number one dad" cut on top of the fishing rod cut for two reasons: space considerations and I thought it made a more impactful die cut!

It took awhile to decide what colors went where for the "number one dad" cut.  To help figure out what to do, I first cut it in all white to see where I wanted to place things (remember, this is before the DS release).  That method can help you figure out where to put things though.  I use the cardstock from Walmart, found in the office supply section, for all my test cuts.

I embossed the white section using the Cuttlebug with my favorite Divine Swirls folder and ran the Martha Stewart double loop punch along the top.

Paper is from Papertrey Ink.

Happy Father's Day Card with Billionaire

Today's Father's Day card was quick and easy! The card is sized at 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

I used the new Cricut Lite Billionaire cartridge and cut out this car image at 4", all the layers except for the shadow layer.  Since I didn't use the shadow feature, I had to add in the windows, so I used some silver Stardream shiny paper for them.

I intended the car to go off the card so it could fill the space.  I just then used the trimmer to slice off the back end of the car.  The background paper is from Bella Blvd. and the cardstock is from Core'dinations.  I used a Studio G stamp for the sentiment and punched it out with an EK Success punch.  I laid the sentiment on top of a (conveniently) matching ribbon I had handy.  Viola!  Done!

Cricut Lite Cartridges - Sugar and Spice, Varsity, Wild Life, Block Party

Here are the last four of the Cricut Lite cartridge preview onslaught I've been showing over the past four days!  I will continue to show more projects here and at my other blog, Everyday Cricut, in the coming weeks.  Also, don't forget that there will be another release of new Cricut cartridges on Thursday (much fewer than this one) and I'll have previews of those projects here!

For those who are just joining us, there are 24 Cricut Lite cartridges, available at Walmart, have 200 images (mostly layers) and retail for around $39.99 (or less).  The release date is July 1, although many locations have them now.

This is the cutest baby cartridge EVER!  I loved this frame with handles and elephant with his ball!  So darn cute!!  Paper by October Afternoon, Papertrey Ink and Core'dinations.

Some struggling here to get the Notre Dame logo the way it needed to be.  Once this cartridge is in the Gypsy/Design Studio, getting that "D" wide will be a lot easier than the method I used (cut and paste, anyone?).  That's what I get for promising my husband a card with his alma mater on it.  Paper by Core'dinations and Stardream.  This cartridge has TWO layered fonts.

Cricut Lite Wildlife Cartridge:  I used the Gone Fishin' and Fish cuts.  Paper by Bella Blvd and Core'dinations!  No fonts on this cartridge, but a whole feature key of word art, all of it layered!

Cricut Lite Block Party:
Need a quick BBQ invite?  This cute swirly grill cuts like a dream and is easy to layer.  I added the "BBQ" word art on top (with a shadowed layer).  Simple, fast and easy!  Primarily cookout images on this cartridge with some word art.

Cricut Lite - Lovely Florals, Meow, Savory, Slumber Party

Hi Papercrafting Friends!

Here are another set of projects from four more cartridges!  It's been such a fun challenge to make these in a short amount of time - very invigorating!  The paper was flying, the Cricut was chirping, and there were craft supplies jumbled every which way during the process. I'm not the neatest crafter so it was quite the scene.

Don't forget, I am giving away Give A Hoot, Cindy Loo, Freshly Picked and Elegant Cakes!

These corner sections and "scatter kindness" word art are both from the cartridge, intended to make a card like the one below.  Paper by Bo Bunny and Core'dinations.

Cricut Lite Meow: Finally!  The cat cartridge has arrived! How cute are these whimsical cats images?  This is a fun cartridge for all the cat lovers in the house - I should know since I have always had at least one cat!  I cut the cat in the boot and used Basic Grey paper.  Kitty was cut with DCWV glitter paper and looks just like a cat named Angela that I used to have when I was a teenager.

Cricut Lite Savory:  I have been dying to use this lemon paper from Jillibean Soup and thought this pitcher of lemonade was the perfect venue!  The cuts are very whimsical on this cartridge and not all the pieces fit flush to one another - probably part of the look they were going for.  But something to know.  So that is why the yellow has space around it.  FYI.

This super cute card was super easy to assemble!  Card base and envelope are on the cartridge and the round center section fits perfectly into the card base.  I loved the versatility of the "present" cut.  Paper by DCWV and Core'dinations.

More to come so keep checking back!!

Cricut Lite Cartridges - Handyman, Hoot and Holler, Lacey Labels, Live Simply

So, I asked which of the new cartridges are your favorites in one of the last posts.  Here are my top 10!  It was really hard to narrow it down!

1) Cricut Lacy Labels - slam dunk with all the gorgeous labels!  Card making will be a cinch with these - cut, put on front of card, call it good!

2) Cricut Cherry Limeade - Probably the cutest font they've ever released and super easy to cut.

3) Cricut Celebrate with Flourish - I could cut everything on this cartridge and use it!  EVERYTHING!  There is something for every holiday and it's just gorgeous!

4) Cricut Dude! - This makes the most stylish, happening images for that teen boy!

5) Cricut Live Simply - Cute, Cute, Cute!!

6) Cricut Meow! - Did I mention I have two cats? 'Nuff said.

7) Cricut Handyman - Word art rocks on this one!

8) Cricut Hoot 'n Holler - the cutest owls ever!

9) Cricut Sugar and Spice - best baby cartridge, IMO!

10) Cricut Bloom - the flowers are awesome!

Freshly Picked Cricut Cartridge: Enter HERE!

Here are some more projects!

Lots of cool cuts on here, including a 3-D house bag.  I liked this "we've moved" layered word art piece.  It comes with the box attached to the "we've moved" word art.  Paper by Core'dinations and Basic Grey.

I am surprised to admit that this owl cartridge is too darn cute!  I know, there are already lots of owls but frankly, you're going to need these ones also!  There are everyday owls, owls for the holidays and super cute word art to match!  I cut the owl on a branch and the "guess HOO loves you".  Paper by DCWV and Core'dinations.

Hands Down - MY FAVORITE of the release! If you can only buy one cartridge, buy this one!  Every cut is GORGEOUS and super easy to assemble!  LOVE THIS!!  I cut the "all boy" label (all the way out to and including the white section).  Paper by Papertrey Ink and Core'dinations.

Love this cartridge also and was surprised by that fact.  Similar to Give A Hoot but still super cute!  I cut this owl in a tree and just adore him!  Paper by October Afternoon, Bo Bunny and Core'dinations. I used that new Cuttlebug Seeing Spots folder on the background and then added white pen dots - love Cuttlebugging!

P.S.  Keep checking back!  More projects and giveaways to come!  WOO HOO!

Cricut Lite Cartridges - Chore Chart, Cupcake Wrappers, Dude, Feeling Groovy

More Cricut Lite Projects!

Here we go with the next four projects:

Who knew this cute doggy was on the cart?  I thought he was super cute!  His square background is also on the cartridge.  Paper from Basic Grey and Core'dinations.  Stay tuned for the cat cut from this cartridge - SUPER CUTE!

This cartridge not only has wrappers but also toppers.  This "Rock On" is actually a cupcake topper that you could mount using a toothpick.  There are some fabulous toppers on the cartridge - well worth a closer look.  Paper from Basic Grey, Core'dinations and DCWV.

Looks harder than it is, this four layer motorcycle cut came together pretty fast.  Paper from Core'dinations, Basic Grey and stamps from Close to My Heart.

This font cartridge also has 10 images and 10 word art sections that match the main font.  I cut the "groovy", the background flower and the "girl" from the cartridge.  Paper by Basic Grey, Core'dinations  and Bo Bunny.

P.S.  Keep checking back!  More projects and giveaways to come!  WOO HOO!

Here's the next set of Cricut Lite projects!

This was tricky for a card because the sizing on the cartridge seems more appropriate for layouts..  The flowers and background are from the cartridge.  Paper by Anna Griffin and October Afternoon.

This cartridge has perfect images on it for the fair, roller coaster park like Six Flags, the circus, summer time and even for that special man in your life, like my card below.  There is also a super cool circus type font on here and 10 word art images.  I can't wait for you to see the roller coaster layout I have for this cartridge. It will be coming soon...

One of my favorites from the release, this cartridge has all kinds of holiday and fun images on it!  I cut the strawberry from the cartridge.  Paper from DCWV.

This cartridge has the CUTEST font - I cut the "hi" from it and it does include a snug shadow.  I used a green shadow so it will be hard to see in the photo.  The cherry is also from the cartridge.  The card and envelope are from the Wild Card cartridge.  Paper from DCWV (glitter), Bo Bunny and Close to My Heart.

24 New Cricut Lite Cartridges at Walmart with PREVIEW PROJECTS!

WOW!  What a release!  There is something for everyone in this set of cartridges!  Need boy stuff? Party stuff?  Men carts?  Outdoorsy?  Teen boy?  All here! And there are loads of fonts with this release also!

Here's the lowdown:  24 new Cricut Lite cartridges available at Walmart starting this week - price point is $39.99 OR less (people have found them for less...).  These cartridges are bigger than mini cartridges, yet smaller than full size.  There is one feature key but many of the shapes have four layers, making some nice die cuts!

Melanie from Courtney Lane Designs and I have been working feverishly on projects for each new cartridge and each of use have 24 cards in which to inspire you.  We are going to do it a little differently this time.  We are going to release 4 at a time, so as not to overload you in one post.  Don't forget to hop over to her site Courtney Lane Designs when you're done here to see her fabulous creations.

Not only that, this is not all I have made (whachu talkin bout Willis?)  so there will be lots more to see in the days to come!  Melanie and I are working on our schedule of how to showcase these on all three blogs.  There will be different projects besides cards so keep checking back!

Now, how about a giveaway before we get started!

The giveaway is the Give A Hoot cartridge!

Now, here we go with the first FOUR projects:

This cartridge has an entire set of tags on it with the main image motifs.  They are layered and gorgeous. Here the cuts are the tag and the "relax" word art.  Paper from DCWV and Core'dinations.

This thank you card front is on the cartridge (all cuts including the red background).  I cut it at 4-1/4" and it came out to be 6" long.  So I mounted this front on a card I cut to fit using my paper trimmer. Paper from DCWV.

This is like the Monopoly game cartridge, hee hee!  It comes with a font, upper and lower case and a shadow.  This tie/vest combo and "dad" is from the cart.  Paper by Stardream (gold cardstock), Core'dinations and DCWV.

I really love this cartridge!  I don't have Walk in My Garden and so I am loving all the flowers and cool word art on here.  The tulips are from the cartridge.  Paper by DCWV and Bo Bunny.

P.S.  Don't forget to keep checking back because I will continue to upload more projects AND GIVEAWAYS!!  Don't miss out!  Another post coming later today....
