Spooky Fun Halloween Scrapbooking Layout

 Today's Spooky Fun layout was designed by the wizards in the Close to My Heart art department! I wanted to give it a whirl as I liked the design and it seemed pretty easy to do. I love easy layouts!

I also love the standard sizes that the layout has - I know I will have some cute photos for this layout after Halloween!

I used the Close to My Heart Little Monsters stamp set to stamp the background purple piece.  Below you can see a little tip I would like to share with you, so you don't make the same mistake!

One important thing to know is how to get all these pieces lined up properly.  Here are my secret weapons:

the Versamat:

and the Close to My Heart Ruler, which is 14" long.

What I do is tape down my base page using some washi tape or painters tape - just in the corners. Then, when I need to measure up and over to lay down any type of strips, I can use the ruler to lay it across the base page and then my strips of paper are all lined up nice and neat!

It works everytime! LOVE IT! Also, the Versamat has a padded side on the back to use as a stamping cushion.

The Versamat does require flat storage (not on its edge) - or it will bend. It's kind of like a show dog that way - needs special treatment!
