My son has had a wonderful teacher this year and I'm getting his "end of school year" gift together. A gift card is usually appreciated and fortunately, our school provided the info about what stores/restaurants/hobbies that the teachers like. So helpful.
The pillow box is a perfect solution. Larger than a card, smaller than a gift bag.
I found this fun, chevron pillow box hidden away on the Cricut Something to Celebrate cartridge. Amazingly, there are quite a few pillow boxes on this cartridge (see below-photos from cricut site):

ReplyDeleteI love to make mini albums...my all time favorite is one I made for a vacation that my husband and I took to TN back when we first got married. I often take it out and look to reminisce. Your box is fantastic. I love blue and yellow together. Gift cards are so much better than the traditional apple stuff. After the first year, the teacher doesn't need another thing in the shape of an apple!! I adore making mini albums and made one recently that you can see on my blog here

Very cute pillow box with the chevrons! I don't make very many mini albums for myself, but have taught several classes with kids at church where we made them. We've made them from paper sacks and shaped ones.
ReplyDeleteReally great idea for a masculine pillow box. I'm always struggling with masculine cards, bags & gifts.

I love to make mini albums! They make great meaningful gifts, I have made them for family, friends, and teachers. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI do make mini album's. Our foster son was put into high needs care due to the abuse he received by his mother. So, I made one to take with him. It included all the prayers that we say, pictures, a story we read every night that he loved and little letters from us telling him how much we love him. After six months he is finally coming back home to live with us. We get to start our adoption upon his return. Thank the Lord. I really enjoy your site and your projects.

ReplyDeleteI really like to make mini-albums, but I have to really like someone to make one for them lol. One of my favorites is the Maze mini-book made out of one 12 x 12 sheet. There are so many variations that can be made with that (pockets, sewing, binding pages or not, drawing with Cricut markers before cutting, etc.)
ReplyDeleteI have just recently started to make mini albums and have fallen in love with them. My first was for a friend for her birthday!
ReplyDeleteCindy B.
I made a mini album from toilet paper rolls for a dear friend in Texas (I'm in Indiana), and she passed away two days before her birthday. I was going to send it to her daughter, but every time I start to get it ready to mail, I look through it and decide I just can't, yet. Someday maybe. . .
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I have to say I love the font on the "first few years"cart. Both cartridges would be great to use on layouts and I think this is a great tool to have. I think both of these cartridges would become your "go-to" carts to use when scrapping'.
ReplyDeleteMini albums are one of my favorite makes.
ReplyDeleteI've not made mini albums yet :) I hope to in the future.
ReplyDeleteI really like the when I was a kid cartridge. I use the Handy Man cartridge for my guys and I have only made a couple of mini books. I absolutely would love to win the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge. I love it. I love your blog also. I read everyday to see if anything is new. You are so up to date on everything.
ReplyDeleteHi Joy!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a blessed day. I create greeting cards..for the guys, most of the time I use either the "Heritage" cartridge or the "Give A Hoot" cartridge. I love to personalize my greeting cards with names using welded letters.
Chris from Bryan, TX
I have not made a mini album. If I EVER get caught up on my "regular" albums I may give it a try.

Love the pillow box! I love making mini albums, especially for grandkids!
ReplyDeleteI don't really like mini albums. It is about all I can do to get some regular scrapbook pages done. Would sure like to have Teddy Bears at my house, :)
ReplyDeleteLove those pockets...I haven't made one of them yet, nor have I made any mini albums yet!! I have the means to make both, but have been concentrating on cards lately! I'm wanting to get back to my Cricut more!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh I don't think I have that cartridge, love this though. Might have to see if I can find this one cheap. LOL I love to make mini albums in the middle of one right now and had one started for my mom with her dog, didn't get it done in time she passed away on the 30th of April. Darn pneumonia took her just like it did my dad. Wish I would of started it earlier but who knew we wouldn't have her much longer. Going to be very difficult to finish that one. I miss my mom and dad so much.
