Perfect Layers is BACK!

Perfect Layers is a wonderful tool that helps you get your mat layers to exactly the right size.  Back in the day, Lisa Bearnson used to show these on QVC and they always sold out.  Now, they are available again!

The best thing about making these mats is that you do NOT have to measure anything.  You just start with your photo or your base mat and start adding on the additional mats using Perfect Layers.

I love matting things and I'm always scribbling down my starting size on a scrap piece of paper and then trying to figure out what to cut the next layers at.  Often, I make a mistake this way.  But now, it's loads easier with Perfect Layers because I just choose the correct border tool, slide it up to my mat and start cutting.  I like to use a rotary cutter to do this - very fast and always goes through the paper nicely.

Perfect Layers asked me to be a Brand Ambassador for them and due to that, I am so fortunate to be able to offer you a discount of 5% on these wonderful matting tools!  Head over HERE to see all about them.

Have you used Perfect Layers before?  I am loving mine!

  3. Hi Ana,

You can cut paper and probably fabrics (if you wanted to layer those).

    Hope that helps!

  4. Ana - it looked like you would use something like an Exacto knife along the straight edge of the ruler. I'm not sure as I have never used them, but I saw a picture that showed that.

  9. I totally LOVE my Perfect Layers. They make a really BIG difference on your project of any kind. My sister and I scrapbook together and she even has me use them for her projects, lol, she is slow to learn anything new, I just taught her how to use the Cricut a few months ago, lol.

  10. I have had perfect layers for years. Bought it when a home based business was selling them.

There are times a photo isn't exactly even on all sides...so when you would cut your mats with a regular paper cutter your mat wasn't a perfect fit. This eliminates that problem.

They get my full endorsement...for what it's worth! :)

Nice pages Joy. Matting does make a difference.

  13. I bought Perfect Layers several years ago and it was the best purchase I have ever made. I use it every day while scrapbooking and card making. I like to use them more than I use my blade cutter. Well worth the price.
