Now, onto this week's Christmas card idea:
I had been eyeing this Christmas card on the Damask Decor cartridge ever since I first saw it back in the Spring. I love shaped cards and this one felt like a fairly easy one to put together. Check it out below:
I cut the card at 7" so it would be plenty large and I used my Gypsy to get rid of the score lines since they were HUGE! I cut an inside panel piece (the gold patterned paper below) and lined the card with it. Otherwise, it just would have been white and I wanted it a bit dressier. The other side of the tree on the inside is white so you can still write your message as needed.
The "Merry Christmas" is from the Say It In Style stamp set from Close to My Heart (you can order that HERE from Melanie's site). I cut out the paper around it and then used a gold paint pen to edge the sentiment. Pearl buttons on the edges of the tree gave some decoration, as well as a cream satin bow.
What's really great about this cartridge is that it also has an envelope feature. I cut the envelope at 7" and it fit on the 12" x 12" mat. I have it propped up in an odd way so you can see the edging to the flap.
Paper is from DCWV.
Finally, let me announce the winner of the set of My Creative Time's stamps!
