In Memory of Gracie - Lisa Ann Pine - blogger and friend

I found out today that one of my favorite bloggers, Gracie (Lisa Ann Pine) who ran the Imagine That (formerly everything cricut) blog and the Limelight Charitable blog passed away in February of this year due to leukemia.

I am so sad to hear this news.  Her blog was one of the first ones I found when I was trying to figure out that tricky Cricut Design Studio program back in the day.  Her tutorials and information were top notch - her generous and giving spirit shown through in all she did.  Her creativity and passion were evident in all she endeavored upon.

Her work with her charitable blog, Limelight, was even more fantastic.  She and her team would choose charities to support with their creative efforts.  One such amazing charity chosen was the Butterfly Project where the Holocaust Museum in Houston is collecting 1,500,000 artful butterflies to commemorate those innocent children killed in the Holocaust.  She had a passion for helping others and a kindness and calmness with her words and spirit.

She was only 40 years old, but she did so much in that time and helped so many people.  She will be missed terribly.

  2. Joy, I too, used to go to her blog. It is sad indeed - she will be missed greatly. I have many of the files she created using DS. Too bad PC is not updating it anymore. It is one of my favorite tools - I can't see the Gypsy screen, so my DS just sits there crying to be used - I don't understand why PC is still selling the thing when it's such a pain to use. I wish PC would upgrade it with all the wonderful things in the Gypsy. I think that is why a lot of people turned to 3rd party programs - but I digress. Thanks for posting about Gracie.

On a happier note, I just saw your Stand and Salute Patriotic Word Book and Cut File! It is AWESOME! I am not a fan of word books, but being a patriotic american, I think I might have to case your work.

  11. That explains why her blog hadn't been updated since the end of January. So sorry to hear the sad news.

I am in a group of online scrapbookers who lost one of our own a few years back. We found out after we had sent a package to her and her husband called to say she had passed away. Because of that, and now this, when I see outdated blog sometimes I fear something has happened to the blogger.

Let this be a note to all bloggers, keep yourselves updated so we don't worry about you!!!

  17. I'm so sorry to hear this! However, it is great to hear one used their life to help others. I pray that the same will be said about me. May God bless her family and friends as they deal with her absence. My favorite thing I've been told in regards to death is this: To be absent of the body is to be in the presence of the Lord. Hope that helps ya'll, as it greatly helped me.
