Quick Imagine Card and GIVEAWAY!


After updating my Imagine machine the other day, I decided to play around with the Better Together Imagine cartridge.  There are just the cutest images and paper patterns on there!  I just LOVE IT!


For fun, I pulled out this 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" clear acrylic card (by Close to My Heart) and thought it would make a fun background.  The solid yellow is cardstock but everything else was printed on the Imagine.


I loved this flower and bee - the flower was pop dotted all over, including the face (which is pre-printed with the eyes and smile, etc.).  The "Happy Spring" sentiment is from My Creative Time's Color Me Happy set and the flower stamp is from Close to My Heart.


Laying flat, you can see the background inner paper through the front.  I also inked the edges of the acrylic with black Staz On ink.


For the inside, I cut a scalloped circle and adhered it so it remains hidden by the larger circle on the outside.

    This a very cute card. I dont have an imagine, It makes me wish I did. Can you print the papers on a regular computer? I would still love the cart just for the designs even if you cant print the papers.

    I had no idea you could do this with the imagine. I have seen it in the stores, but I am a recent cricut expression owner. I had the small one for a year and only used it once because I only owned one cartridge. Then my Mom purchased the expression from Walmart on clearance in January so I have acquired many carts from ebay since then and now am the new owner of a gypsy. So the imagine is something I want someday, but because of the cost it wont happen for awhile. The card is adorable. I would love to be able to do this, I always have a hard time picking out paper to use for my cards at the store so I wind up with a lot of unused cardstock. It would be nice to be able to just buy white cardstock and print everything. Thanks for the inspiration.

    This is a really adorable card. I've seen the blanks in the CTMH catalog, but wasn't sure how they'd look - and they look great! Thank you for sharing this with us.

    I lOVE the idea of what the imagine can do...However I am still on the fence B/C I am afraid that it will turn into "a money pit" with ink refills etc... I just got the expression about 6 months ago so I think I need to be satisfied for a while. However the E2 it catching my eye!!!

    Well, I would love to tell you what I like about the Imagine machine, but I just got mine yesterday and haven't had time to play with it yet. I know that I love the idea of being able to print and cut. I only have the cartridge that came with it, so I'm sure I'll be looking for more. Can't wait to really be able to use it. Cindy

    Cute card! I have had the imagine machine for a couple months and feel like I still don't know how to use it properly! Started the updates from this week but they are not done yet -- can't wait for it to have the same functionality that the gypsy or design studio does so that it's easier to size things. I still only have the Imagine More cartridge that came with it so I'd love to win! Thanks!

    I LOVE LOVE the acrylic, will definately have to check it out !!! My imagine cuts moe precisely and i love the option to color fill any image..especially for the flesh tone!!     I have a lot of fun with my Imagine. My only complaints are that the paper does not stick to the mat at all and I have had a few issues with it becoming uncalibrated quickly. It will cut and print well for a few times and then seems to be off so I have to recalibrate it again. Thank you so much for the great opportunity to win!

    What a great card and cartridge. It does have cute cuts and patterns on it. I really love the imagine because you can print your own patterned paper. Everything coordinates so no more hunting for the "right" color. I just wish I had more time to play with my imagine.

    Lovely card. When the Imagine first came out, I wasn't too interested in it (plus the price).

    So much to say---1st, I can't "Imagine" living without my IMAGINE now that I have it. It is just so fantastic to know that you aren't going to run out of coordinating papers and patterns when you're designing (especially a scrapbook). Second, I just love your bright and cheerful card. The colors show off so well on that acrylic background. Third, I would so love to win a new cartridge for my Imagine. After investing in the machine I've had to make do with the three cartridges that came with it. Thanks for the chance to win!!! BTW yesterday's post was great. I read it before I updated and it was great info. Knowing how long the process was going to take kept me from wondering if something had gone wrong during the update.

    Next to my family of Bugs and my beloved Gypsy (who never, EVER leaves my side), it's one of the best investments I've ever made! And I'm on Cloud 9 now that I can use my Gypsy to control it!

    It is my favorate machine of all. It cuts ,it prints. On the imagine I like you can change the colour of your images and you can use all the part of an image either as a whole image or pick and choose a layer. It is the easiest and most straight forward to use.

    I love my imagine! That is why I am heartbroken that I just had to send it back. I was finally getting around to using it & understanding the features, and then pffft!     This card is adorable - I love the use of the acrylic and the "happy flower"!     Love my imagine! Just updated my Gypsy, kinda of afraid to do my Imagine after all the comments about it, but what the heck...I'll just DO it!
