Giveaways, Spring Cards and new Angel Policy News for the Cricut

I was asked to make 30 A2 sized (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") invitations for a small luncheon and wanted to choose a spring time theme. Here are some cards I made using Forever Young (flower4 cut at 3-1/2" all layers) and Songbird (top note shape cut at 3-3/4" and 4"). I used the Spring Stack from DCWV and used some different coordinating backgrounds. The hardest thing about making a number of cards is trying to get all the papers to make them identical. So, I gave up on identical and went with coordinated...worked for me,,,hee hee!

The most important thing about making 30 invitations is to do each step 30 times. For example, I cut all the card bases at one time. Then, I cut the backgrounds (4" x 5-1/4"). Then I cut the flowers - first I did shadows, then the base, then each layer. I put all those things in stacks. When I had everything cut, then I make an assembly line to put them together.

I used white pen to add stitching. I could seriously add stitching to every project - it's always SO CUTE!

Finally, I did want to update you on the new Angel Policy on the Cricut Board. Basically, it says you can make up to 10,000 assembled items (cards, layouts, cakes, etc.) per year. There is some controversy over whether they can even dictate how many you make but I'm pretty sure we are all safe with the 10,000 number. That's A LOT of cards, etc.

Thanks for stopping by, my sweet papercrafters!

P.S. - check out my Mother's Day layout over at Everyday Cricut! Did you know we are giving away a different prize EVERYDAY this week with our grand prize giveaway on Saturday, in honor of National Scrapbook Day! For more info, click HERE!
