  10. We colored lots of eggs. It kept the girls entertained for a few hours during the icky weather over spring break. I even made some with onion skins like my mom and her mother used to make. They turn a rich golden brown. Brings back memories!

  11. Happy Easter to everyone! Yes, I colored Easter Eggs this yr. Colored in a different way than done in past. This yr I used food items to make the colors using info from Family Fun magazine. Boiled water & red cabbage with white vinegar for blue yes blue which when red cabbage is boiled it turns blue and. 1st batch stayed clear so I tried a couple more times and got the blue and also got a pale purple. Boiled water & onion peel with white vinegar for orange. Boiled water & Tumeric spice with white vinegar for yellow color. Made Deviled Eggs after admiring them & photographing them. One batch of Deviled Eggs I used Beet juice & beets instead of sweet relish.
For Easter hubby gave me an assortment of Dove & Lindt chocolates and Tim Holtz stamps: Nautical Blueprints & Treats Blueprints.
