  1. Down here where I live in Louisiana we usually don't get this kind of freezing weather all of the time. But for the last three nights we had what they call a hard freeze(in the teens) Brrrrrrr. I do not like the cold weather . Give me the hot weather. I just try to stay indoors if I don't have to leave. Today we are warming up some.By the weekend we will pobably be back in the 70's . This is our crazy weather. LOL

Lucky me....but I wear lots of layers in the house....even with the heat on I still feel the cold and sometimes in the morning I sit in front of my fireplace wrapped in a furry lined throw around me in a rocker with a piping hot Kuppa, Kuppa in hand and enjoy my fire. I love your card today it's so precious I definitely am going to make it. I so love what you do with the Artbooking cartridge. All of CTMH cartridge kits rock glad I have 'em all!!

  3. I'm here in Texas too! But I lived in Wisconsin for 15 years so the cold doesn't really bother me much. Just kept the kiddos inside and watched movies over the weekend.

  9. You do great work! Never enough time in the day to get to my craft room lately. Maybe now that xmas is over I can try out a couple of these cards.
PS I have never heard them called Potty people before I laughed so hard when you said that!

  13. Cold and snowy in Missouri. Just had 8 inches over the weekend with an additional 1½-2 today, then some freezing drizzle. Warmer but expected rain over the weekend. Where is the sun????

  14. Here in northern Wisconsin it's been -30 the past couple days. Never so glad to have my heated mattress pad - best thing I ever bought. Love crawling into a warm bed! Otherwise layers and big warm boots to keep my toes warm. Love the card. I can see lots of other possibilities for that window. Thanks for all your inspiration!

  15. Is there really any way to handle the cold?? Besides moaning about it as I do, I stay in the house and don't go outside...which then I can create, create, create! I also do a lot of organizing and pitching when it is cold! Love to get a new cartridge to try something out new!! Stay warm!

  16. I feel guilty but here in So. Cal... I went hydrobiking, walk in the park, rode bikes to the beach. I may put on a long sleeve shirt today. I heard the temp may go to 75 today rather than 80's like the last 2 weeks.

  17. It's pretty cold here in southwest TN. I use it as an excuse to play in my craft room. I wear warm clothes, have a small electric heater and a cuppa. Thanks for the chance to win.

  18. It's much better now, but Monday and Tuesday were brutal! Any unexposed skin HURT! I would not have gone outside at all if I did not have a dog. She was NOT happy to have to go either so we made quick trips, only when necessary!

  19. I am very lucky that I have not had to deal with the cold. I live in San Diego and the weather is in the 60s right now. My family in NJ has been staying inside and said they are starting to feel like prisoners in their own home!

    Very cute Valentine's card!

  20. These cards are so quick and cute! I'm in NJ and it is brutal. Trying to stay as warm as possible, but with 2 small children, school and work, always have to be out and about. It's getting better, supposed to be in the upper 40s and low 50s this weekend! It will almost feel like summer! Thanks for the inspiration!

  21. It is way, way cold in South Bend Indiana. The temp. now is 0 and compared to last week and the beginning of this week "0" degrees feels like a heat wave. -45 degree wind chill is not my idea of a good time. It's Indiana, nothing surprises the native Hoosiers here.
Your card is triple cute. Thanks for a chance to win.

  23. We stayed with the snow being thick outside. I don't think I have left home ever since I went home from work Monday morning. My kids went back to school yesterday and thanks to my husband, who drives them to school and picks them up as well. I am a nervous snow driver.

  24. It has been cold here in Northern Florida and we are not used to it! I cut some roses I found (surprise!) out in the back yard before the freezes came. I brought the roses indoors and put them in a vase by my sink to think of warmer days. :) Today, one of the buds opened!

  25. Cute Valentine's card. We are surviving the weather by sitting next to our wood stove and lots of blankets.

  26. Thanks for the instructions for the card! When it is cold outside, stay inside as much as possible and bundle up when you must go outside.

  27. Electric blanket combined with electric mattress pad and down comforter and cuddle duds are almost keeping me warm. I like it much better when the temp outside equals my age (70+) Looking forward to summer! And I do like your card! Thanks!

  28. Another great valentines card! I gotta open this cart...too cold in my scrap corner in the basement these days! I might have to scrap wrapped in a blanket!

  29. Like the Valentine w/ layers & window. I actually lowered the thermostat. Do not want to contribute to the rolling blackouts. We layer up clothing for inside & outside weather. For sleeping we are using my crocheted afghans I crocheted.

I'm afraid to tell you that our "FREEZING" weather (down to 51 degrees) lasted one day and now it's back to the 70's! I did need a jacket and a sweater here in S. Florida!

  34. I can't believe this card took just 5 minutes! So elegant!
I live in Texas too (Houston area), so we haven't been hit like other parts of the country. Still, though, it's a LOT colder than we're used to - thank goodness there's no ice or the city would shut down.
We've just been putting extra layers on and using extra blankets. The past couple of nights, when my hubby went out of town for business, I've been under about four layers of blankets! :)

  38. At night I use the electric blanket, but during the day my space heater follows me where ever I go. I live in the south (NC), where it hasn't been extremly cold this year, but for me its been cold. Of course we were in the single digits this past weekend.

  39. Bundle up outside and use 3 blankets at night (I don't care if I'm sweaty in the morning; I'm toasty as can be at night)

  40. You know its cold when 30 feels like a heat wave! We just dress in layers and then peel them off when we get to warm.
