Rock A Bye Baby Card with Cricut Baby Shower Cartridge

I saw this card shape on the new Cricut Baby Shower cartridge and immediately wanted to use it!  I love shaped cards, especially versatile ones like this!  Then, how cute is this moon and the saying!  Although, I did always wonder about that lullaby ("down will come baby, cradle and all") - not too comforting.  But the first part "Rock A Bye Baby" is sweet.  Check out the images on this cartridge:
I love that 3-D baby carriage - I can see someone using that for favors at a baby shower - filled with mints or jordan almonds. There are actually a lot of versatile images on here - the pinwheel, cone, 3-D tree, cards, thank you sentiment, two boxes, etc.  The price is nice also - Stamps Alive (terrikrafts) has them for $22.95
I embossed the first layer with my favorite Cuttlebug folder, Divine Swirls, for a cloud like effect.  I used some super strong Scotch liquid glue to get the pieces to stick on the card.  Now, above, there are actually two eyes - the one on the right is very faint.  If I hadn't had an embossed background it probably would have been easier to see.  Unfortunately, that was the last thing I put on the card (oh, snap!).
Here's a close up of the "Rock A Bye Baby" - even at a pretty small size, it cut very nicely.

  4. Awww, I really like this one! I think the embossed swirls look great but it does kinda hide the details of the face. Maybe just adding a plain circle behind the face? That way the embossing can stay cause I would hate to see that go :(
    Either way, beautiful job!

  21. I love this card! It's whimsical and sweet. On the surface, this cart doesn't seem very practical for someone unfamiliar with expectant mothers. However, I can see versatility in many of these images!
