The owners of the Cricut Expression, Create and Baby Bugs will be happy to see that Hello Thursday is just for them - three new cartridges, all full size!
Cricut Nifty Fifties Cartridge - Tons of layered images, word art and a shadowed font!
Cricut Birthday Bash Cartridge - Loads of layered images, shadowed font and a whole feature key full of cards and tags with matching word art/images!
Cricut Shall We Dance Cartridge (Cricut Circle Exclusive) - Cartridge full of silhouettes, word art, and layered images - so darn cute!
Now, onto the projects:
Cricut Nifty Fifties:
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cartridge! Now, a bit about this card and envelope: I have a friend who has a Corvette and is in a Corvette club that drives all over the place together. Recently, she went on a trip with her Corvette Club all along Route 66 so I immediately thought of her when I saw the Route 66 images on the cartridge. Conveniently, it also happens to be her birthday soon so I made this card and envelope in celebration of that. I gave it to her yesterday!
This word art is from the cartridge. I ran the emblem through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. Pen work using the Uniball Signo white pen. Ribbon from Michaels.
Peek to the inside:
Here is the inside of the card. Stamps from Club Scrap and Close to My Heart. Notice the shadowed font on the right hand side of the card ("ON") - also on this Nifty Fifties cartridge. It will look great welded, won't it? Route 66 emblem is from the cartrdige also.
Here is the card and back of the envelope. I made the envelope using the Scor-Pal. Car is from the Nifty Fifties cartridge also.
This is actually the front of the envelope! I love the "cruisin'" word art with the car! "Jean" was cut using the font on the cartridge.
Card with envelope:
Cricut Birthday Bash Cartridge: This cartridge not only has a shadowed font, it also has a whole feature key filled with cards and tags! Woo hoo! And they are SUPER CUTE!!
Green Card and Dotted Envelope:
Green card is from the card feature key. Bird on the banner is also from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge! Cloud is cut from Cricut Serenade cartridge and stamp is from Papertrey Ink. Paper by DCWV, Core'dinations and Bo Bunny.
Word art ("have a banner year") is also from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge.
Front of envelope - I cut the scalloped circle and sentiment.
Cricut Shall We Dance? cartridge (Cricut Circle Exclusive):
Finally, a dance oriented cartridge! This has been a highly requested cartridge.
I used the new Cuttlebug Art Deco folders for the front of this card. I love how it frames the ballet shoes and word art.
Let's see the inside of the card:

I like the Nifty Fifties cartridge best. I am a follower and subscriber.
ReplyDeleteAlthough all 3 new carts look fabulous, my favorite is the "Shall We Dance?" cart!! I was a professional dancer (seems like a lifetime ago) and I not only follow all the televised dance shows (DWTS, SYTYCD, ABDC), but attend ALL of the Live shows when they come into town. In fact, my daughter and I have great seats for So You Think You Can Dance on October 5th! The "Shall We Dance?" cart is going to be an absolute MUST for my collection. Thanks for sharing these beautiful ideas.
ReplyDeleteBirthday Bash is my favorite. It has such cute characters.
ReplyDeleteWow i have just found your blog...love it. I also have the iphone app and find it to be fantastic. The 50's cart is great as I love everything about that period. The dance cart is gorgeous as well but being in Oz the Cricut Circle is out of my price range so I won't be getting that one which sucks.
