Project, Cartridge and My Creative Time Stamp Giveaway!

So I have a great giveaway and a project today for you!  I made this card last year and it remains one of my favorites from one of my favorite Christmas cartridges of all time, which I will be giving away below!
I cut this super cute stocking at 5" from the Cricut Winter Frolics Shapes Cartridge.  My card was sized at 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and opens at the bottom, although you could have it open to the side.  I love this cartridge!  Take a look at all the shapes on it:

I used various glittery papers from Reminisce and DCWV.  My background was run through the Cuttlebug with a new Cuttlebug Christmas set (under embossing folders, sets on the link).  The embossing folders in the set are shown below:

I used a stamp from the Close to My Heart December 25 set which you can get on Melanie's site HERE.
Card Recipe:
1) Fold red cardstock 4-1/4" x 11" paper in half to form 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card.
2) Adhere piece of 4" x 5-1/4" white cardstock to inside.
3) Run piece of 4" x 5-1/4" white cardstock through Cuttlebug with embossing folder.  Adhere to front of card.
4) Cut stocking from Cricut Winter Frolics Shapes Cartridge at 5", all layers using glittery papers and adhere to front of card.
5) Stamp "Do Not Open" onto white cardstock.  Trim and mount onto green paper.  Adhere to front.
6) Attach red bow to stocking.

Here's today's giveaway!

One lucky person will win BOTH the Winter Frolic Cartridge shown above AND the My Creative Time Stamp sets shown below!

1) My Creative Time All Around Goodies Stamp Set:

Thankful for you

Hello everyone!  Well, it's my very last day with you as a Guest Designer this week.  I have had so much fun and have enjoyed reading each and every comment that you all have left.  Thank you so very much for all of your kinds words and support.  And another big THANK YOU to Joy for having me this week!  It has been a wonderful experience and I have loved every single minute of it.

So far this week, all of my projects have focused on a Thanksgiving theme as I was hoping to give you some fun ideas for your holiday decor next week.  Today however, I made something a little different and very special to me.

My husband and I have been together for 15 wonderful years and today is actually our 10th Wedding Anniversary!  So I pulled out a few of my favorite photos and made this simple 12x12 layout to hang in my craftroom.

The "forever" is cut from the Home Decor ~ Cricut Cartridge.  And the "together" is cut from the Graphically Speaking ~ Cricut Cartridge.  The heart is cut with the heart die from the My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  All of the cardstock is from Bazzill.  Super simple, but very special.  I love it!

**********GIVEAWAY**********
Ok everyone, how about a giveaway?  Or how about two giveaways?!?  Since it's Thanksgiving next week, I have the Simply Scarecrow ~ Cricut Cartridge and the My Creative Time ~ Piles of Smiles stamp set to give away. Woot!  Woot!

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post.  And then hop on over to my blog and leave a comment on my Guest Designer post over there.  I will pick one winner from all the comments this week on this blog and one winner from all the comments on the Guest Designer posts on my blog.  SO...for more chances to win...make sure you leave a comment on each post for each day!  And don't forget to leave a way for me to contact you. Happy Thanksgiving

Hello everyone!  And welcome back for Day 4 of my Guest Designer week.  I have been having the best time ever!  And I can't believe it's almost over!!! Today I have two more quick and easy projects for you.

First up, I made this fun "Happy Thanksgiving" door hanger for the front door to welcome guests as they come over for dinner:

I got this simple wooden sign at Michaels for $1.  It has some silly phrase on the other side that I knew I would never use, but I bought it anyway and just turned it around and decorated the back.  You could also easily paint over it if you wanted to.  All of the different colors of patterned cardstock for this are from the Bo Bunny ~ Double Dots Collection.

Here is another little cutie cut from the Create a Critter 2 ~ Cricut Cartridge.  His sweet eyes are from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Bear Facial Features stamp set.  I did the accents for the eyes with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  All of the beautiful leaves are cut with the leaf dies in the My Creative Time ~ Piles of Smiles stamp set.

The acorn is also cut from the Create A Critter 2 ~ Cricut Cartridge.  And once again, the pretty little leaves are cut with dies from the My Creative Time ~ Piles of Smiles stamp set.

The "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment is cut from the Elmo & Friends Holiday ~ Cricut Cartridge.  I used pop dots for some dimension.  And the beautiful bow is made with Celebrate It ~ Harvest Ribbon.

The second project is a simple table topper that I plan to put either on the food table or perhaps the coffee table:

This is about as simple as you can get.  The base is from the Simple Stories ~ Harvest Lane Collection (it's all one piece).  Then I cut the "Happy Thanksgiving" again, along with its shadow from the Elmo & Friends Holiday ~ Cricut Cartridge.  The only thing I did to this was totally bling it out with a bunch of gems from my stash.  That's it! Super super easy!

I hope you like both of these little projects today.  Sometimes, I think it's important to keep some projects simple so that we can remember to keep the focus on what's really important...spending time with our loved ones and eating a bunch of really really good food!!!!  LOL   ;)

Thanksgiving Day Memories

Hello everyone!  I can't believe it's already Day 3!!  This is all going by so fast, but I am having a wonderful time as a Guest Designer for you this week.  I thought I would change things up a little today.  I know that many of you out there are scrapbookers, so I thought I would create a simple layout for your Thanksgiving Day memories.  I don't know about you, but I have really been enjoying the 8x8 size for a scrapbook - not too big or too small.  So that is what I made for you today.

This is a simple and quick two-page layout.  The "HAPPY Thanksgiving" title is cut from the Create A Critter 2 ~ Cricut Cartridge.  The brown cardstock for the title is from Bazzill.

The polka dot cardstock for the photo mats and the top layer of the scrapbook page are from the Bo Bunny ~ Double Dots Collection.  The solid cardstock for the middle layer of the scrapbook page is from Recollections.  And the bottom layer of cardstock is from the Recollections ~ Simply Autumn Collection.

This super cute little turkey is cut with the brand new Create A Critter 2 ~ Cricut Cartridge.  For those of you who may visit me over at my blog, you probably already know how much I just LOVE googlie eyes.  And they are always absolutely perfect on all of these little critters!  All of the patterned papers for my little fella are from the Bo Bunny ~ Double Dots Collection and the Recollections ~ Simply Autumn Collection.  I also added an extra layer of "feathers" by using the scallop die in the My Creative Time ~ Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies set.  I used pop dots for some fun dimension.  And I used red and yellow ~ Zig Writer Pens to color in the beak and that little jigglie thingy and those were stamped using the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Critter Faces stamp set.  I cut the scallop circle with a punch.  The "Turkey Time" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Piles of Smiles stamp set.  The "WHAAAT" is made with the alphabet stamps in the My Creative Time ~ Just Simply Live stamp set.  And the "?" is from the My Creative Time ~ Cherish This Moment stamp set.

The little green rectangles/square, the little tree and little acorn are pieces I hand cut from a sheet of journaling boxes and images in the Recollections ~ Simply Autumn Collection. Both of the "Thankful for you" & "Give thanks" sentiments are from the My Creative Time ~ Piles of Smiles stamp set.  And the bows on the journaling boxes are made with Hemp Twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Besides my cute little turkey, this is my other favorite part of the layout.  This bow is made with Celebrate It ~ Harvest Ribbon.  Isn't it pretty?  And the little flower in the center is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

I hope you like this layout.  I wanted it to be quick and simple, since I know we all get super busy with all of the meal preparation and family fun.  :)

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

Hello everyone!  I'm back for Day 2 as a Guest Designer and having oh so much fun!! So yesterday we started with a cute centerpiece for the Thanksgiving dinner table.  Today, I have some neat place cards for you and your guests.

Whether you are having an elegant dinner or tons of silly fun, or if you are a family that has an "adult" table and a "kiddie" table - then these two ideas should be perfect.  Let's talk about the "adult" place cards first.

These gorgeous monograms are cut with the brand new Folk Art Festival ~ Cricut Cartridge.  And the beautiful fall leaves are cut with the Thanksgiving ~ Cricut Cartridge.  The cardstock for the place card base is from Recollections.  The pretty patterned papers are from the Simple Stories ~ Harvest Lane Collection.  And the brown cardstock for the shadow layer is from Bazzill.

I used pop dots behind the monograms to add dimension.  To stamp the names, I used the alphabets stamps in the My Creative Time ~ Anyday BINGO & Crossword stamp set.  The ink is brown ~ Technique Tuesday Ink.  I didn't add any other embellishments because I thought these were simply beautiful just like this.

Now for the "kiddie" table:

Don't you just love these little cuties???   The scarecrows are cut from the Simply Scarecrow ~ Cricut Cartridge. The cardstock for their outfits are from the Simple Stories ~ Harvest Lane Collection and the Bo Bunny ~ Double Dots Collection.  And their cute little faces are from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ The Cornies Face Assortment.

I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for their eyes and added a touch of chalk for their cheeks.  For some extra bling, I added a few gems from my stash and a flower to his hat above.  I used pop dots behind both scarecrows for more dimension.  The leaves were once again cut from the Thanksgiving ~ Cricut Cartridge.  I just snipped off a couple to have them separate rather than the whole bunch.  And the names were once again stamped with the My Creative Time ~ Anyday BINGO & Crossword stamp set.

I hope you like them.  It's hard to pick a favorite, but I think I'm a little partial to the cutie patootie scarecrows!  :)
