Happy 4th of July Hero Cricut Stand and Salute Card

Happy 4th of July!  Today's quick card was made using the Cricut Stand and Salute cartridge and the digital Independence cartridge (for the heart).
I cut the heart at 2-1/4" and the "liberty and justice" frame from Cricut Stand and Salute at 5-1/2".  A quick tip on cutting the frame since it's super skinny:

On the Expression, multi-cut two times and put your blade at 3 and your pressure at 3 and your speed at low.  That's your only hope of getting the skinny bits of the frame to cut.

On the Explore, put it at the setting above iron-on vinyl and cut twice.
The "hero" stamp is from the Close to My Heart Artiste stamp set that comes with the Artiste cartridge.

Here is the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month for July - a full alphabet stamp set! Normally, these are $29.95 but this month, it's only $5 with a $50 purchase!  WHOOP!

It's just $5 when you spend $50+ at my Close to My Heart shopping page.

  1. My son is home from college (in Ohio) so, we are going to have a bbq... chicken on the grill w/Chivetta's, corn on the cob, salad w/toms, cukes and fixin's... salt potatoes, baked beans and watermelon.. YAY!!
And we usually go sit on a road, just out side of town, with a great view of several close towns' fireworks.. and bring some snacks with us..

  6. Like the Patriotic Card. I have the Stand & Salute cartridge. I recall buying it at Big Lots for a low price in an after Thanksgiving Day sale. No plans as such for 4th of July other than bbq at home for us and time to relax. I forgot for a second that it was a holiday when I almost went out to ck for mail and then recalled no mail day due to holiday.

  35. Very nice card. I have the Stand and Salute Cart. I will be staying home comforting my dogs as I do every Fourt of July and New Year. To tell you the truth I dread both of the holidays because the fireworks scare my dogs so much.

  38. Me and my husband didn't do anything. On the 4th of July is my son Birthday and he turn 21year old. And he move out of the family nest and know we are first time with not having any kids running in and out of the house. But he call and ask if I wouldn't mind that I the mom was it be OK to have his own party with out us. And trying real hard not to cry and I said yes it is your day and I know that you just moved out and it is your 21 birthday and you only get to celebrate it only one day for the rest of your life but I did say be careful and not to drink and drive and for some reason there is nobody that has not drink please and call and we will get ya home safe and I want get mad. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest and I will understand if you delete it but I don't have anyone to talk to.
Have a great day and think you for listen or delete it but I do fill better. Thank you again :-)
