Happy Bark Day card,Giveaway and Free April Scrapinar Info!

A quick shaped card for the dog lovers out there!

The dalmatian from Create A Critter was cut at 2-3/4" and the doghouse from Pop Up Neighborhood was cut at 4-1/2", two times so it was a thicker card front.  Instead of welding the doghouse, I just used a sheet of white and folded it in half for the card part.
There are also doghouses on Create A Critter, Paper Pups, Mickey and Friends, Doodlecharms, and Paper Dolls for Everyday.  I liked this one best for this project.

A tip: use a ruler to make your faux stitching - don't free hand it like I did.
Love the sentiment "Happy Barkday" from Paper Smooches stamps - too cute!

  4. Super cute card...I always free hand the stitching too...
    No...no project life for me...I just scrapbook family holidays...the kids have birthday scrapbooks...a school scrapbook...and a Christmas book that I scrap their Santa pic in every year.
    The kids are 20 and almost 19...I wonder if they'll sit with Santa again for me...I blackmail them every year...it's all I want for Christmas :)

  30. The card is adorable! I have 6 children and made many albums years ago and Project life reminds me of the way I made mine way back then.   74. I did a project 365 3 years ago and I loved the end product but it was a lot of work. Last year I did 12 of 12--take 12 pictures on the 12th day of each month for 12 months. That was fun but my photos each month were very similar. Taking this year off and just scrapping pages of life!

  123. Wow jam packed post for today. Love the little dog card. I am always looking for fire related ideas for my son as he is a firefighter. I kind of like the freehand stitching, a little more realistic. I bought the explosion box Cricut cartridge not long ago, but have not had a chance to use is.   142. Such a fun doggy card, eyeballed lines and all - I prefer the look of the "not quite perfect" lines - to me it gives character so I think yours look great!
    I don't do Project Life style scrapbooking. For me it's all about papers and stories on a big page (or pages) and I don't really need the structure and inspiration that Project Life brings - I have plenty of scrapping yet to do and try to scrap the everyday along with the big events.
