Title Troubles? Here's your answer!

Do you have ever trouble thinking up a good title for your scrapbook page?  Or what about a quote for the inside of a card?  I struggle with titles all the time and usually end up doing something lame like "Alaska" for an Alaska layout.

I was excited when I was contacted by Betsy Flot, the author of "Inspiration Station", a handy book full of over 13,700 titles and quotes for scrapbooking and card making.  She sent me a copy to review and offered another up as a signed giveaway!

The first thing I noticed when I received the book was how thorough it was.  There was a category for everything a scrapbooker could think of: seasons, holidays, sports, school, business/career, moving, animals, angels, travel (by state also!), going places, courtship to marriage, baby, birthday, hobbies, all about me, sentiments, etc.

Reading through the list gave me ideas for pages I need to make.  To see the whole list of categories, click HERE!

When I received the book, I was intrigued by it's size - 608 pages in a spiral bound 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" book.  There's a lot of information here! I loved the spiral binding which made flipping to the relevant sections quick.  The size would make it easy to pack for a crop.
The book is well organized in categories and then alphabetized sub-categories (see above). I like how simple it is to find what I need.

Here is a sample page from "Inspiration Station":
"Inspiration Station" can be purchased directly from Betsy Flot here for $29.99 with free shipping in the US and comes with a signed inscription.

Want a chance to win "Inspiration Station"?

  2. This sounds like an awesome book. I too have trouble with titling my scrapbook pages. I also have trouble with the title for the Scrapbook itself. This book also sounds like it gives ideas for the inside sentiment for cards. Buying different sentiments for cards in stamps is expensive and you don't want every card to have the same sentiment so I find I leave it blank and then just handwrite something in it when I'm in a hurry and have to have a card right now. Can we buy this book now?

  3. This book would be super helpful, sometimes I just look at a page for days, before I can come up with the perfect words to make that page special.

  4. I stare and stare at the page and after I finally come up with a title I think it looks really dumb but decide to go with it anyway.

Help is a unspoken word. Assistance is always needed to titles and sentiments. WHen I can not apply what fits my card, it can sit for a long period of time, until I see the light at the end of the tunnel. A book to assist would be welcomed in my home. and treasured.

  24. When using a sketch I usually put a whole entire layout together without the thought of a picture and most importantly that title? Crazy I know then it will sit until I stare at the picture and rehash what was taking place or the feeling and then maybe something comes up!
