Hello Kitty Car Vinyl

I've talked about my vinyl projects many times on this blog HERE and I have to tell you, they are probably the most enjoyable projects I make.  The Cricut and Expressions brand vinyls are incredibly resiliant, even outdoors and being run through the dishwasher on plastic cups.

I love Hello Kitty and I wanted to add something fun to my car to give it distinction.  My daughter loves it, but she actually confessed that it was because it made my husband roll his eyes.  I had to explain to him that I was doing it for the blog.  He just sighed.
Anyway, here is Hello Kitty with a black blackout background and her assorted layers.  I cut her at 5". It wasn't as hard to layer her as I thought it would be.  I have another car vinyl to show you next week so you won't want to miss out.

    Thanks,

  20. Love the decal. I have cut vinyl and I love it. However, I have only ever used one color. Are there secrets to laying down the layers since it would be hard to reposition??? Would love to see a video of you making a vinyl cutout with layers. Thanks for sharing.

  23. I just adore her on your car!! Husband eyerolling and all lol. We spent Saturday making my daughter's name in different fonts on vinyl to put on each of her spiral notebooks for school. She even made an Eiffel Tower and a pinata for her French and Spanish folders. Much easier to apply when done on vinyl for school.

  24. Hi Joy
    How stinkin cute is that!!!!
I wish we could still buy the Hello Kitty cartridge...Seems that Provo Craft would release this one again.
All kinds of little girls just getting into Hello Kitty and now we can't get the cart....:(
Wonder if you might know someone who might sell a Hello Kitty at a reasonable price?
Take care and I love all your designs.
    Best wishes
    JO

  25. The only problem with cute projects like these is that this cartridge isn't available, and the few that *are* for sale are super expensive (b/c the seller knows they aren't available elsewhere). I wish they would make them available.

  26. Ridiculously cute! I'm assuming that your husband doesn't drive this car. Otherwise, you might expect him to come home, having "lost the decal going through the carwash"!

  28. Are you kiddng me? You mean you can make vinyls for you car with Cricut cartridges?! I don't scrap as much as I would like and certainly am not familiar with all the techniques and fancy stuff. That is so cool!!! Now. Somebody tell me how to do it!
