"Love" American Alphabet Pillow

Saturday, October 15, 2011

I wanted to share a project I made with the Cricut American Alphabet cartridge that comes pre-loaded on the new Cricut Expression 2 machines.  This "Love" word art was so fun and pretty - I thought it would be great for my (almost) teenage daughter.
This project was quick and simple and inexpensive!  I started with a red velvet pillow case from Ikea ($6).  Then, using flocked iron-on vinyl that I got from Expressions Vinyl (click HERE to get some), I cut the "Love" at 11-1/2" and used the 12"x24" mat.  I followed the instructions on Expressions Vinyl's video tutorial to determine the settings and how to iron the flocking onto the pillow.

I then ironed on the "Love".  Since the pillowcase was velvety, it took longer than I thought but it did adhere down.

Now, this word art, "Love", is only available on the Cricut Expression 2

I think this is just beautiful! And that it will be so welcoming to a guest or a wonderful gift to give, because I know that I would be thrilled to receive one like it, myself! TFS, and directing me to how to purchase the supplies. Your blog has been so helpful over all the years, now!
