Christmas Card Ideas - Week 6 Magic Monday and Giveaway!

Monday, October 17, 2011

It's a Hello Kitty Christmas this week for Christmas Card Ideas week 6!  But first, let me announce last week's winner and this week's giveaway!

Giveaway for this week: Cricut Lite Cartridge Cherry Limeade

This font cartridge is one of my favorites - I love that it is shadowed and a little funky.  It comes with some image art also, which is very fun!

How can you win?

1) Leave a comment below telling me if what you would like to learn about the Cricut (Click HERE to learn how to leave a comment.)
2) Subscribe or follow the blog.

Winner will be announced next Monday, October 24, 2011 and winners have two weeks to claim their prizes!

Now, onto our winner of the Trim the Tree cartridge:  DORIS P.

Doris P, please email with your name, address and what you won to joyster110@gmail.com.  You have until 10/31/11 to claim your prize!

Now, onto our Hello Kitty Christmas card:
This is a quick and easy card cut from the Cricut Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge.  It is a shaped card - already to go on the cartridge.  There is a whole feature key of shaped cards and they go together nice and quickly.  See below:
I cut this card at 5", using the Card Feature Key and then cut the base and all the layers except shadow at 5".  They laid on top of the card perfectly! I used glitter paper from DCWV.

And there you have it!

I am sorry this went up late.  I got into this 1100 page Stephen King book called Under the Dome: A Novel and it's been impossible to tear myself away from it.  I'm not into horror stories at all but King also has some suspenseful stories and this is one of them.  Off to finish this masterpiece...

Funny. Hello Kitty was one of my anticipated least favorite cartridges, until a buddy loaned it to me. Now it is my favorite and I can see myself loving this Hello Kitty Christmas cartridge. Love the limeade too, pretty font!

I'd like to know how you handle, line up & glue the layers on the very delicate, flimsy & thin "flourishes" cuts that a lot of the cartridges have. And the cartridge give-away is so fun & cute.
