It comes with Cricut Essentials, Cricut American Alphabet, Cricut Decals, and Just A Note cartridges pre-loaded.  The Cricut Decals and Just A Note cartridges are exclusive to this anniversary edition.  Just A Note cartridge was designed by Cosmo Cricket.

Actual handbooks do come with the pre-loaded cartridges.

Here are some facts:

Here is a quick list of features:

MACHINE FEATURES
• All-New Machine Design: Even more portable, and an
all-new color to celebrate 5 years.

• LCD Touch Screen: Larger, faster, full-color LCD touch
screen display with stylus. No keypad overlay required!

• Mat Preview: See shapes you’re cutting and where they fit
on the mat before you cut!

• Materials Profile: Choose a default setting for materials
you like to cut OR customize a material setting just how
you want it.

• Cutting-Area Light: A light underneath the cutting area to
let you see where you’re cutting on the mat.

• Layered View: See all creative features and layers right on the screen, including shift layers. No need to keep referring
back to the handbook!

• Wrapping: Fit a sequence of images or letters to a specific
length by wrapping them onto more than one line or mat!

• Independent Image Sizing: Size each image on a mat on
its own.

• Multiple Mat Cutting: Cut as many images as you want,
even if the images won’t all fit on one mat.

• Apply All: Apply all the edits (scale, flip, rotate, etc.) you
do for one image to all the images on a mat at the same
time with just one button.

• Swappable Side Trim Pieces: Change the color of the side
pieces to match your style.

  1. How much is this one going to be? I had just convinced myself to upgrade from the original to the Expression but depending on the price I will probably just wait and get the E2.

  5. What a machine, I just received my Cricut Expression for Christmas, and bought the Cricut cake two weeks ago. I think I'll have to be happy for awhile, but there are always new cartridges!

  6. can you find out how much it is perhaps going to cost? I know HSN usually allows flex pay for 3 or 4 months, but a general ball park figure would be nice when I'm trying to convince my husband that I really need another cricut machine! Thank You!

  7. Joy,

Thanks for the details. The E2 looks awesome! Do you know if it has all the special buttons that are on the original ie, fit to page, auto fill, center point, flip etc? Also is it compatable with the gypsy?

Speaking of the gypsy, I have a question about that also. I am fairly new to it and though I have watched the gypsy a-z video, I still don't think I know everything about it. I was going to use it the other day, but I needed to use the center point and dind't know if you can with the gypsy, so I just cut straight from my expression. Is there away to use all those special feature keys that I mentioned above, from the gypsy?

    Thanks for your help!

  13. Thanks for sharing the video. Gosh! Good thing it is after we do our taxes when they bring out these machines. My oh my, and them raises the prices on their cartridges too to their vendors. Wow! I found that one vendor does layaway so that helps with all the wants. I have April 26th on my calendar since I first heard. I was one of the ones who ordered the Imagine when it went to $299 and I did the Circle so got the extra discount so found a way to get free s/h. It came today. Have to find a place for it right now then we shall see. Oh boy! 2011 is the year of Cricut Thanks so much for the postings. I'm going to post your web link on a site I go to share your info about CE 2.

  25. I got the Expressions 2 from HSN. So far I hate it. Very high tech and beyond me. I am going to give it another go with a friend but I spent over an hour just trying to cut a 4 inch circle. With the regular Expressions changing size is so easy!!
