Love this flamingo from the new Cricut Nifty Fifties Cartridge (available in October)! I made this 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card using the flamingo cut mounted on some white paper run through the Cuttlebug using the new Art Deco folders. I am loving those folders - so elegant.
Of course, I had to cuttlebug the blue background with the Swiss Dots folder (a MUST HAVE!).
Paper is by American Crafts and Core'dinations. Stamp by Heidi Grace. Buttons by Papertrey Ink.

Great Card! When you use the Swiss dots embossing folder with a layer from the Cricut, do you emboss the paper before or after you cut it with the Cricut?

The fifties--ahhhh, those were the best of days! I graduated in 57 and my husband had a 57 turquoise and white chevy convertable--reminded me of the one on the Nifty fities box.
Would have like to see a picture of a burger drive in, a car hop and ice cream table and chairs, a phonograph to go with the record maybe and a crooner to go with the micraphone. I can think of a lot of things they could of had instead of a toaster, lol! But it will be a fun cartirdge any way :)

I think there are some really cute things on the Nifty Fifties cartridge. At first I didn't think I would give it a second look but now it may end up added to my cartridge library.
